New research reveals that discrepancies between the locations where fossils are found and the areas where early humans are thought to have resided could affect our comprehension of human evolutionary history.
A significant portion of the early human fossil record comes from a few key locations in Africa, where ideal geological conditions have preserved a wealth of fossils that scientists use to piece together the story of human evolution. One notable area is the eastern branch of the East African Rift System, which includes important fossil sites like Oldupai Gorge in Tanzania.
Yet, the eastern branch of the rift system only accounts for 1% of the surface area of Africa—a fact that makes it possible to estimate how much information scientists who rely on such small samples are missing.
In a new study published in the journal Nature Ecology & Evolution, researchers at the George Washington University show the extent to which the concentration of sites in hotspots like the East African Rift System biases our understanding of human evolution and why scientists must take that bias into account when interpreting early human history...
In a second analysis, Barr and Wood looked at how the skulls of modern primates collected in the rift valley compared with the skulls of the same primates from other parts of the continent. They found that skulls from the rift valley represented less than 50% of the total variation among primate skulls in Africa.

This topic should be a laugh riot.
The “settled science” continues to push the false narrative humans “originated” in Africa.
The phonies on FR continue to plaster boilerplate stupidity under a lot of different nicks.
Ya gotta go where the fossils are not where they aren’t. Can you dig it?
So book smart and yet so blind.
I like how the whole complete story of Denisovian’s has come from the sequenced DNA of one finger bone.
Well, we ARE trying to find the “missing link”.
(despite the chemtrails)
Go where the evidence leads.
New evidence changes the narrative.
Your evidence is?
Some friends of mine from 2738 made this CD when they visited here back in the last century, grab some decent headphones or a Kickin car system and Enjoy
I stay with Mesopotamia as the origin point.
For civilization, cities, agriculture and standardized written language, but human history, doubtful and the evidence doesn’t show that.
Excellent techno muzak
Thanks again, SunkenCiv. I listened to a very interesting lecture last week regarding the same issues as regard to tool making vs tool usage. The lecturer maintained that evidence of bone cracking tools (used for marrow extraction) have been overlooked because of investigators inadvertent bias.
Africa was the only place humanoids could survive without heated houses, before agriculture and ability to create fire. Africa has few hurricanes, earthquakes and flooding rivers.
Ya gotta go where the fossils are not where they aren’t.

This.
Look where today’s agricultural human enclaves are. They are near water. Most of Africa is dessert, and doesn’t support human life.
Humans went through such rapid evolutionary changes because the population densities of their agricultural enclaves fostered kill-offs from viral epidemics.
The best record of this fact doesn’t lie in fossilized bones, but in our own biochemistry. And it SCREAMS epidemic.
So why would apes evolve into something weaker then? Something that cannot even handle the weather without wearing animal fur?
Evolution is a racist liberal theory that places white people above other ethnicities in the evolutionary scale and thus superior to other ethnicities.
