Welcome to 13 WORST American Cars From The 1950s, Nobody Wants Back!
The 1950s was a decade known for bold, brutalist architecture and some of the flashiest cars in history. With a booming post-war economy, people were eager to fill their new homes with shiny new possessions.
Automakers competed fiercely to create the most glamorous and eye-catching cars possible. While some cars from this era were stunningly beautiful, others were simply considered hideous.

Didn’t look. Were they or were they not put out of business so that Germany’s Volkswagen could enter the market? I’m thinking Hudson, Nash, American Motors.
a clown assembled that list ...
Bkmrk.
Here’s the top 5:
1) 2001 Pontiac Aztec
2) 2002 Pontiac Aztec
3) 2003 Pontiac Aztec
4) 2004 Pontiac Aztec
5) 2005 Pontiac Aztec
That’s why I didn’t’ click on it. They write 3 paragraphs above but don’t even hint to what models they’re talking about. Screw that noise.
How cool is that?
Rented a 4 wheel drive Aztec for a camping trip in the mountains sometime about 2004. It was great!
I watched the video to see if the Edsel was included in the list. Named after Henry Fords only son. Also known as the 250 million dollar flop.
But speaking of Ford, I have attended the past several Father’s Day car show at Greenfield Village. A spectacular event. Also available on YouTube.
Thanks for posting the video.
My uncle had the Tucker with that ugly center light. I hated to even be seen in it. Another had an Edsel and it was tricked out with a police interceptor engine and a nice rolled a pleated leather interior. The push button gear shift on the center of the steering wheel was kinda odd though. I only wish I had my 56, 57, and 62 Chevys from my high school years back.
Clickbait much?
List the cars for us. Why should we click over?
I would love to have one of those Chrome Laden ‘58 Olds ‘98s! The mid-50s Buicks were included, but nothing really bad was said about them, so I do not know why they were included on the list.

i love to rent those ugly monstrosities for vacations as they hold so many people plus massive amounts of luggage ...
I liked it so much, I wanted to buy one.... but then it disappeared. Quite hard to find one on the road nowadays....it’s been years since I’ve seen one!
I think the Aztek is just ugly enough to be a future collectible.
Always thought the Chevy Covair was a POC model. Rear mounted engine.
You missed about a dozen ads in a 23 min ewe toob
Only 50 of them were made, if I remember correctly

I loved my black Corvair with red interior.
