WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Americans’ views of the effects of marijuana have worsened over the past two years, as slim majorities now say it negatively impacts both society as a whole (54%) and most people who use it (51%). This contrasts with Gallup’s findings from 2022, when the public was about evenly divided in its assessments of marijuana’s effect on society and more likely to say the effect on most users was positive (53%) rather than negative (45%).

Citizens who are ignorant, ill, impaired make it easy for Deep State.
That’s why Deep State loves legal weed.
It’s a hat trick.
Ahh, good old Gainesville Green. (Not that I partook, myself)
My favorite true crime show is the First 48.
Lot of small time, part-time weed sellers get killed in a “rip”.
Makes sense, a small time weed dealer won’t report being robbed and he may or may not retaliate although a lot of times the robbers kill the guy making sure he won’t.
Legalizing weed will NOT slow the illegal traffic of weed at least not in the “hood”.
Another thing about legalized weed puzzles me.
There is virtually nothing in place to police weed impaired drivers.
I was watching a true crime show from the UK where weed is illegal and they have an on site test for drugs including weed.
If you test positive, you must go to the station to take a more precise and accurate test.
The UK has scientific standards in place to measure impairment from weed.
The UK doesn’t get much right but I applaud them on their stance on weed.
Driving with alcohol impairment has really been cracked down upon and that has been a good thing.
Unfortunately NOTHING has been done about driving under the influence of weed.
Really? Are people in general just now starting to realize pot has a corrosive effect on society?
Having pot smoke polluting my airspace is no better than having cigarette smoke doing the same.
The more they push a dangerous drug on the public, the more the public will eventually find out that it’s dangerous.
That’s exactly where I stand on the issue. If it’s legal where they live and they want to smoke it or drink nine shots of vodka at night, let ‘em. I’d tell them one thing and ask of them another: Smoking weed or drinking that much spirit can’t be very good for your body, and you only have one, and I would ask of them to stay home, don’t get behind the steering wheel because then it affects me.
The users want an escape from reality. And they have only their selfish desires in mind.
They really don't think about the consequences of their actions.
I'm not against either alcohol or Marijuana. An occasional joint when you don't have to work for a few days, a champagne toast at a wedding, a shot or a beer at a funeral.
IMHO it's a self hate that leads to abuse unless it really is for medical use. And that would be in very limited amounts and duration.
I'll sit here and let the potheads complain about it's none of my business when and how much they smoke, they never hurt anyone. ( that's all a -not yet) or about how they have been smoking for years for ptsd or chronic pain. I get both of those reasons. But eventually your habit will make you paranoid and or delusional. Too much pot or alcohol rot your brain and higher cognative functions. Such as " how to drive a car"
The lungs and brain weren’t made for smoke of any kind
Two identical job applicants are in your office. Both have essentially the same education, experience and qualifications you’re looking for.
One smokes pot, one doesn’t. Which one do you hire?
China and Russia prohibit marijuana use, and quite strict about it. However, the US is wide open. Sure makes me wonder why that is.
Both are totalitarian; we are supposed to respect individual liberty?
I don’t understand how in the State of California (I don’t know about other states) they are not allowed to advertise tobacco products, but all along the freeways are billboards for dispensaries.
The reason eludes you? Really?
Eat It. Weird Al Yankovic
Ok Alice B.
The drifting clouds-— a lot of 2nd hand blowing around, could not get away from it, even holding one’s breath.
Reminds of a phrase from the old country artists The Delmore Brothers: “I don’t smoke and I don’t chew and I don’t go with the girls that DO!”

Soros was the leading promoter, possibly excluding China. He has raked in the money.
The Chinese own weed farms everywhere and also gummi factories in various places, including Florida.
Yes, it is the only drug and herbal that is universally and falsely proclaimed as side effect free.
