My guess is there’s never one big crash or event. We just keep gently sliding down the cultural and spiritual slope like we have been over the generations, while living a life that’s materially better than any humanity has ever known. Our poorest people are the most likely to be obese, nothing like that has ever existed before now. We are the most comfortable and entertained people in history.

My wife put whipped cream on my coffee this morning. The Little Dog was very interested in the whipped cream. I took my right index finger and scooped up some whipped cream for him. Whipped cream isn’t as sticky as you might think it is.
The blob of whipped cream fell off my finger and on top of his left front paw.
For a few seconds, the world quit turning in Little Dog land.
His eyes got wide and he looked at me like I was a traitor to dogs everywhere.
He took off holding his left front paw in the air like he was pointing out whipped cream pheasants.
I figure he thought it was an alien and I had betrayed him.
I guess the thing to look out for is whipped cream alien monsters.

Knees and pray may still be pretty good. Not quite sure things are at the let’s become nomads point. I hope.
At this point there’s not much I can do but vote. Too old, too sick and too poor to do anything else.
