There’s an old steam tractor on YouTube that takes on new tractors in pulling contests. It has something like 19 HP and 12000 ft pounds of torque. It wins.

Similar to farmers going after older equipment that can be fixed by them

My truck has to pull a 24,000lb GW trailer, with a Bobcat & excavator on it, often 300 miles a day.
What is the tow rating on the new Lionel? (an old electric train model, for those of you from Rio Linda)

When I was a kid, a guy down the street built a steam powered Plymouth. He cleaned up every construction site around, making chunks out of scrap lumber, for fuel.

GM, Ford and Stellates(Dodge is easier to spell)... masters of rebuilding your car for you while your still paying it off. With far less moving parts to replace, they had to raise the price of the remaining parts just to cover their expectations of profit for rebuilding EVs.

I can see this.
I wonder if these are the same truckbros who feel it is their God-given right to drive 30 miles over the speed limit on any road and ride 2 feet off the tail of any smaller car?

WATCH the FEDS tell the tire companies to change their products because the extra eight causes premature tire wear.

The dealerships lose MILLIONS in revenue because of no tune ups, oil changes, no maintenance on the EV’s they need to make up that revenue somehow thus a $70,000 ticket price which is outrageous for a car!!
Modern spark plugs are good for over 100,000 miles. Synthetic oil changes can easily wait for 7,000 miles @ $80 each, 14x80=$1,120/100,000 miles. I am in Phoenix, and I go through car batteries pretty quickly for heat. That's $200 x 3 (includes warranty replacements).
Tires last 40,000 miles reliably at $1,000 replacement =$2,500/100,000 miles. Probablyu worse on an EV.
Brakes pads lasted 80,000 miles front, $90,000 rear. Call it $1,000 for brakes.
Big one will be gasoline versus electric rates. That's all over the map depending on where you are and how you drive.
Even EVs will need suspension parts, and electrical problems will be more serious and even debilitating and more expensive. I will not buy a car that requires a subscription to anything.

Yes, they are the very same.
But, I chuckle when my 2012 Honda Accord and 1998 Ford Ranger fit in my garage, while the a-holes with obnoxious, huge and loud trucks park in their driveways in the brutal FL sun.
