Never been but expect to somedat soon. My IPT on a project at work plans to conduct a meeting there.
Having driven up and down I-95 with the family the opening of Bucees is the most exciting thing since South of the Border. I have two Bucees tumblers. The family likes trying the different types of beef jerky. Yes the big draw is the immaculate bathrooms.
Yes. I have the t-shirt. From the Leeds, Alabama location. Here in So Cal, it has been a conversation starter.
I’ve been to the one in Daytona. Certainly an experience, but nothing convenient about it.
NJ Turnpike north (95) is a Bucees u-turn sign says 590 miles south.
Buc-ees carries cattle feed stations.
Bring your 18 wheeler to haul it away.
They just broke ground for the first Bucee’s in Ohio near Dayton. I swear they were breaking into normal programming for updates.
What’s REALLY SMART about Bukeyes is that they buy bulk items (snacks), such as one might get from Sams, and then re-package them under their own name in flat, low quantity, packaging, and mark the unit price up 4-fold (or maybe more). It’s BRILLIANT, as virtually all other retailers of this type buy pre-packaged snacks and have a FAR SMALLER markup, as most of the markup is taken up by the processors/distributors.

The gas is cheap. That is all I buy.
Just broke ground on. Buckees 15 miles from my house. š
We’re SUPPOSED to be getting one at one of the exits off I-75 here in Marion County Florida. Seems like it’s taking a long time to get here.
100%. We don’t have one near us but whenever we travel we map out any Buc-cees on the route. A stop means a very CLEAN private toilet, a delicious lunch and cheap gas all in one.
Praise Beaver!
Buc-ees was my favorite go to place while driving through Texas. 100 gas pumps, a store which looks like HEB and Cabellas had two children; one named BBQ and the other they fondly called Jerky.
And everyone is friendly. And know why they pay their lowest staff member over 20 backs an hour? Because they have great product, which is fast to deliver and reliable. No one receives tips and their training makes them competent. A trait which will go a long way when the staff start taking on other jobs as they get older.
I remember seeing a Buc-ee’s on the Food Network or some such at my mom’s years ago after we had driven eight hours and 400 miles with scary gas stations along the way thinking “ Oh, if only...” The one on the AL coast was a complete surprise and a blessing when they built it on that route!
I’ve heard of them but I’ve never seen one.
