Kamala Harris has range. She can grill nominees for the Supreme Court or meet with foreign dignitaries, then pivot to hosting a Diwali celebration or dancing enthusiastically alongside an HBCU-styled marching band.
It is a dexterity that Harris, the first Black woman and Asian American to serve as vice president, developed as a person of color to navigate the corridors of power or Main Street in a nation where race and identity influence how one is received or embraced.
Harris, the daughter of immigrants from Jamaica and India, is an adroit code-switcher, a term that can include deliberately adjusting one’s speech style and expression to optimize relatability and ensure she gets a message across.
Former President Donald Trump, during a contentious interview session at a meeting of the National Association of Black Journalists, showed no familiarity with the concept. He implied that Harris is inauthentic for embracing all aspects of her heritage. His failure to recognize code-switching also speaks to a prevailing belief that whiteness, often correlated with speaking in plainly enunciated English, is the default in our politics and democracy.
“We need to be celebrating our whole selves, which means we need to celebrate all of our identities,” said Christine Chen, co-founder and executive director of APIAVote, a nonpartisan civic engagement organization focused on the Asian American Pacific Islander community.

So, when repub,icons switch views or positions, it’s “flip-flopping” but when liberals do the exact wage, its “code-flipping”? Sorry, but she is a flip-flopped who switches

I re-watched her 2020 “grilling” of Amy Coney Barrett with my son last night to remind us of what a Witch this woman is.
She adopted the ‘woman-boss,’ shut-you-down-no-matter-your-answer persona for the whole affair. Nearly 10 minutes straight of reading a script about the ACA before getting to her “questions.”
i.e. “Because the ACA provides some perceived help to this or that Democrat constituent group, will you always vote to uphold it?” Her law degree clearly didn’t teach her that’s not how the law Should work.
Barrett is sitting there without notes, trying to give a polite and painfully obvious answer to a woman who was clearly out of her league.
Actually she and Obama have much the same background and upbringing...
just in different ways,
Neither are NBC
Both were brought up in a country outside the US
Both have minimal black blood...
Neither have slave ancestors
Both have slave owner/trader ancestors..
Both lived for years in a foreign country during their cultural development period..
Both had non-American early education...
Both have declared a war on Christianity...

I listened to Kamala for not even a minute when the prisoners were exchanged and Joe got on the wrong plane.

Harris is a “breed”. She’s only one quarter black like most racist “black” troublemakers. I read an article a couple days ago claiming that most people also believe that her Pappy was half black and half white too. IOW. Harris isn’t too black. Look at Obama. The father of all troublemaking racist “breeds”. Mommy was “White”.
The fact that “race” is such a big thing in this election proves that the term, “The United States” is a misnomer and a lie. This third world dump has become a continent full of tribes that hate each other and the UN azhos’ “immigration” invasion is only making it worse. There will never be another America.
She's not an "adroit" anything. When "code switching" becomes a means of career advancement, it becomes suspect.
“Half black and half white” in overall ancestry, not in terms of coming from a black-white marriage. Do we really know how far back Donald Harris’s white ancestors were and under what circumstances they got together with his black ancestors?
