A potential association between COVID-19 vaccination and development of Alzheimer’s disease

Abstract

Background

The challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic extend to concerns about vaccine side effects, particularly potential links to neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD).

Aim

This study investigates the association between COVID-19 vaccination and the onset of AD and its prodromal state, mild cognitive impairment (MCI).

Design

A nationwide, retrospective cohort study leveraging data from the Korean National Health Insurance Service was conducted.

Methods

The study, conducted in Seoul, South Korea, analyzed data from a random 50% sample of city residents aged 65 and above, totaling 558 017 individuals. Participants were divided into vaccinated and unvaccinated groups, with vaccinations including mRNA and cDNA vaccines. The study focused on AD and MCI incidences post-vaccination, identified via ICD-10 codes, using multivariable logistic and Cox regression analyses. Patients with vascular dementia or Parkinson’s disease served as controls.

Results

Findings showed an increased incidence of MCI and AD in vaccinated individuals, particularly those receiving mRNA vaccines, within three months post-vaccination. The mRNA vaccine group exhibited a significantly higher incidence of AD (odds ratio [OR]: 1.225; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.025–1.464; P = 0.026) and MCI (OR: 2.377; CI: 1.845–3.064; P < 0.001) compared to the unvaccinated group. No significant relationship was found with vascular dementia or Parkinson’s disease.

Conclusions

Preliminary evidence suggests a potential link between COVID-19 vaccination, particularly mRNA vaccines, and increased incidences of AD and MCI. This warrants the need for further research to elucidate the relationship between vaccine-induced immune responses and neurodegenerative processes, advocating for continuous monitoring and investigation into the vaccines' long-term neurological impacts.

if one gets all the boosters, one won’t get alzheimers...

I’m convinced. Stupid brother and sister in law got their mom to take the Vax at 84 and boosted.

She went mentally downhill fast. She was getting there but it wasn’t evident and drugs helped.

Now she’s practically a vegetable. We had to.put her in a home. Her youngest, my wife, had to take charge .

So the vax immune specialization resulted in the increase? Interesting in the sense that a strong immune system would offset the effects of impairment & dementia. What does one’s gut have to say?

I doubt very many people here have had in depth genetic testing ...better than 23andme, etc.

I have a genetic defect in multiple p450 genes.

In doing research on how this might effect me I discovered that it might make a difference in the way my brain clears toxins.

This makes me more susceptible to neuro issues.

But also, it effects the way I process drugs. It may be why I have had weird reactions to some vaccines.

I think it is worth it for people who have Alzheimers or Parkinsons in their family to do some genetic testing that is more involved than just the genetics they typically test for.

I always say Michael J Fox should be tested for it as Parkinson’s is one of the main brain diseases that may be connected with P450 issues.

You can get it done fairly cheaply through places like Nebula.org.

All of these studies should be looking at how many patients have P450 issues that might be making a difference

No, no, no! The "vaccines" are TOTALLY safe, AND effective!

Dugway Duke will be along shortly to tell you that they saved *at least* 14 million lives.

The fact that it is literally impossible to prove that claim, means nothing. He is a true believer (or true propagandist), after all.

So the vax immune specialization resulted in the increase?

What "immune specialization."

They admit the "vaccines" don't prevent infection, transmission and actually increase your chances of getting it, and getting it multiple times.

I haven’t seen him or any of the other Branch Covidians around here in quite some time. I haven’t been looking for them either.

And, accelerates existing cases, I would think.

At least in one of our family member’s case. :-(

Our neighbor and his wife got the shots in their late 70s. A year later she died in a hospital on a respirator. In the last four months he has gone from a social, engaged person to a pitiful entity. It’s so sad. They both loved life.

“my wife, had to take charge .”

Sounds like a job for the brother and his wife.
