A video has resurfaced online, showing parents recklessly encouraging their children to pose for photos alongside a wild alligator.
Ensuring the protection of children and keeping them safe is one of the most fundamental duties of parents. Recently, a video has resurfaced online, showing parents recklessly encouraging their children to pose for photos alongside a wild alligator. The incident happened in Everglades National Park in Florida which is home to many different types of wildlife. The footage which was originally shared on TikTok last year, captures the adults urging their two young girls to stand alarmingly close to the massive reptile. The girls seem visibly nervous and hesitant, yet the adults seem to ignore their concerns. Meanwhile, the alligator is seen lying with its mouth wide open on the side of the road. Another woman is also seen posing for a picture, seemingly oblivious to the danger. She then calls a child over to join her for another photo, while a man also takes a risk by posing with the child near the alligator.
''Don't think that is the brightest idea,'' the video was captioned by an Instagram account.

The irresponsible behaviour has sparked widespread anger and concern for the children's safety. Several users slammed the parents for prioritising a photo opportunity over their kids' well-being and putting them in harm's way.
One user called, ''Love how their 1 smart kid is fighting to stay far away and mum restrained them firmly in the danger zone.''
Another wrote, ''Sure, letting the kids get cosy with an alligator is a brilliant parenting move. What could go wrong?''
A third said, ''People don't understand or think about how fast Gators are in water AND on land.''
A fourth added, ''Funny that kids are the only ones showing appropriate fear of that beast.'' A fifth wrote, ''How can parents allow this? Infuriating.''
Listen to the latest songs, only on JioSaavn.com According to Wild Florida, alligators are capable of quick bursts of speed in short distances and can reach up to 35 miles per hour on land.
Darwin Award.
The’re covered.
Used to live behind Florida Alligator Farm on US1 north of Jacksonville..................
Those are known as Dalit or “Untouchable” Hindu Indians. The low caste dregs of society in India. They have been exporting them to the US now for years. It is India’s way of getting rid of their welfare parasites (300 million of them) onto other countries.
You consider someone ‘the dregs’ just because of the accident of birth?
It’s hard to get up and out of poverty when the system rarely allows you the opportunity to do so.
OMG Did that fool manage to get away safely or did he get eaten?
Of course the only reason they’re that way in India is because Indian society forces them that way. Really hard for untouchables to get good education, good jobs, and be anything but welfare recipients. So they come here where we’re SUPPOSED to recognized that all men are created equal. Be better.
The “system” allows plenty of opportunity to get out of poverty. All you have to do is work hard and live BELOW your means.
And now we’re electing one?..................
The open mouth is a warning and they are oblivious. They would probably take such a picture in front of an eastern diamondback rattlesnake as it buzzed it’s rattle.
the gator left him only after he crapped his pants... gators don’t eat what is crapped...
In OUR system one can do that. But the Dalit are discriminated against from birth in India.
I’ve known and loved some Indian people. But I despise their caste-mindedness and treatment of the Dalit.
A lot of the Dalit do manage to come here, and they can be successful precisely BECAUSE they are allowed opportunity here that they are not allowed in India.
But even here, they are still discriminated against and considered ‘untouchable’ by other Indians of higher birth.
Having been to the Everglades a couple times... this actually isn’t as weird as some of you seem to think it is. Hike along any trail in that park for 15 or 20 minutes and you’re likely to come fairly close to gators... as in within a few feet like the folks in these pics. If you’re scared of them and are going to run away squealing, this probably isn’t some place you should be in the first place.
unfortunately, he got away...
Disneyfication of the masses.
People have stopped seeing animals as wild and dangerous.
Careful, parents. Darwin might be watching, looking for his next award winner.
But I just noticed that the kids are wearing bike helmets, so I guess that safety was a genuine concern.
plus the alligator was bluffing.
I remember several time people put honey on a kiddo’s face to get a pic of a bear licking the honey off ... the bear just said “YUM” and licked the kids face off.
