A video circulating on social media shows Wasco Mayor Alex Garcia being assaulted after he allegedly tried to meet with a minor boy.
Garcia’s social media accounts were taken offline after the video was posted. He recently ran for Kern County Supervisor, running a distant third to re-elected Supervisor David Couch.
Driving the news: Along with a video posted to X on July 24, a Facebook page called “Bakersfield Crime Watch” alleged that Garcia came to an arranged location after talking with who he thought were a 15-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl.
The post alleged that Garcia came to “do horrific things to the kid.” Garcia allegedly told the two people in the video that he was bringing “poppers,” condoms, marijuana and other sexual items. State of play: Per a report in the Wasco Tribune, the Bakersfield Police Department is investigating the situation.

The average reader knew he was a Democrat because nowhere in the excerpt was the Party affiliation cited.
Funny how that works ,If your a Democrat ,there is no mention .
In California these types of offices, mayor or county supervisor, are non-partisan in nature but not necessarily in practice. Shows how far we’ve slid as this was once a solid red area in the state.
Guranteed everyone, cops included, knew this guy was a dirty perv.
Sounds like this may have been a private operation. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.
Years ago, a woman that posted on FR was cheering some men that were luring predators of minors to a park for a hook-up. The twist was that the men doing the luring were homosexuals, and would overpower and rape the men that showed up expecting to meet boys. They hoped that their victims’ fear and humiliation would keep them from reporting the crime to police. I recall telling her that she’d been in California too long if she was rooting for one kind of sexual predator over another.
