Sen. Joe Manchin is considering challenging Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democratic presidential ticket, according to a report Sunday.

Manchin — a longtime moderate West Virginia Democrat who turned independent this year — is weighing whether to return to the Democratic Party and make a run for the White House, sources close to his office told CNN.

The 76-year-old called for Biden to drop out of the race Sunday morning just hours before Biden, 81, announced his withdrawal.

What to know about President Biden's decision to drop out of the 2024 presidential race:

“I’m hoping for that, because I think it will leave him with a tremendous legacy as one of the greatest leaders that we’ve had,” Manchin said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

The difference between clowns like Joe and President Donald J. Trump is that Joe is in it for his own benefit and President Donald J. Trump is in it for the benefit of the country.

Just stolen from patriots.win:

Unless Hillary becomes the Presidential or VP nominee, 2024 will be the first presidential election in 48 years without a Biden, Bush or Clinton on the ticket.

Nailed it. Trump is the only president I have seen since becoming naturalized citizen in 1970, who lost wealth after entering politics. And he even donated his full salary as president back to tax payers.

Go for it! I hope every Democrat comes out and demands a chance to be on the ticket. It’s an open convention apparently and hopefully they will not let the Democratic Party rig it like they’ve done in the past.

” I hope every Democrat comes out and demands a chance to be on the ticket.”

The public appearance of an open convention will be maintained because it is good for the news cycle. The convention will get far more eyeballs if there is some apparent uncertainty.

But Obama, Clinton, and Pelosi will have picked the actual nominee before then. They have probable already picked the nominee. That was part of the negotiation to move Joe on.

Question for everyone. Does Joe pardon Hunter and the rest of his family and himself before he leaves office?

.
If you haven’t figured out Manchin by now, it’s time to enter a facility.

He’s a rock-ribbed Conservative for 6 weeks out of every Election year, and then back to the liberal altar.

It’s like the same fools that thought Joe Biden was going to be different than his first 45 years.

I didn’t know that Manchin was that old, I thought he was in his late 50s or early 60s.

Remember the Dem theme after the debate - Trump lied.

I guarantee you Joe Biden Pardons his boy, which makes that Lie # 8,643 to the American people.

Well, if Biden issues pardons on Monday, we know he’s leaving soon.

Where is Bernie Sanders? And I am surprised Kennedy hasn’t said something similar about becoming a Democrat again and going for the nomination.

Joe Manchin is a dishonest weasel. I did not recall a single time he ever voted with Republicans when his vote made a difference. He happily votes with Republicans and grandstands about it in West Virginia when it doesn’t make any difference. If his vote is the deciding vote, he sticks with the Dems.
