I heard a Radio Report out from a PA Affiliate.
Incredibly, they said the following came directly from sources inside the Investigation.
There were 3 Secret Service Snipers positioned inside the Bldg that Crooks scaled and used as a platform.
Secret Service Snipers inside the building first saw Crooks looking up at the roof and acting suspiciously.
Crooks then left.
Crooks returned and was looking at his phone. One Sniper (inside the Building) was observing Crooks looking at his phone and then he saw Crooks using a rangefinder. The Sniper took a picture of him at this point, and forwarded it to the Secret Service Command Post as well as radioing them and telling them of his suspicious behavior.
Crooks then disappeared and later returned with a backpack.
The Secret Service snipers (inside the building) again radioed their command post and alerted them that Crooks' was back, acting suspiciously, and now had a backpack.
Some time elapsed and people in the crowd started yelling to PA Officers that there was someone on the roof with a gun.
The police will stop and question innocent people (myself included) over some misunderstanding.
They sometimes arrest the wrong person, and they’ve even panicked and shot innocent people.
But, no one stopped and questioned the suspicious-looking guy checking the roof, his phone, and a rangefinder at a president’s rally?
Unfortunately events like this attract weak people seeking their “fifteen minutes of fame” by telling a newsmonkey some fable or other. That goes double for low-level newsmonkeys who want eyes on a personal web site and wannabees who just post on Xitter. And that’s how conspiracy theories get their start.
I don’t buy this story for a minute. For one thing, the SS says they delegated that building to the local police. Mega-bad policy, but that’s apparently what that third-string SS team leader did. And of course whoever it was that had the responsibility failed to have multiple warm bodies UP ON THAT ROOF, and should be fired forthwith, losing all pensions and benefits.

When you fire a bullet, it will drop over the course in accordance its speed until it hits the ground. A range finder allows you to measure the distance so you know how high to aim your gun so the bullet hits the target instead of the ground.
It’s pure physics that, once you know the distance and elevation you be very accurate in hitting your target.
If true (and now days you have to question everything) it certainly shows the shooter had help from someone at the top.
A favorite tactic (used with brilliance by Bill Clinton) when dealing with bad news was to leak all kinds of different stories some partial true some wildly untrue with the idea of creating a smoke screen where it is impossible for the average person to determine the truth from fiction.
Even more simple, take him and his backpack into custody. No one needs a rangefinder to just watch a rally.

It was sunny out, they didn’t want to get sunburned.
The question has been asked many times, how did this $hitbird get the gun into the event. Well it appears the building in question was beyond the perimeter that required searches. Now we are hearing about a backpack. I suspected on Sunday that he had the AR torn down.
I believe the punk was well rehearsed on the gun, and having been a member of some gun club was a decent shot. From the one still photo of him that ran on tmz (a bit blurry) I think he was using an iron site and that along with going with a head shot may have been the difference in PDT being alive. I could be wrong but I don’t think PDT had on body armor Sat.
If what this article is saying is accurate some heads will roll for someone on the ground last Sat, but of course the buck won’t stop anywhere near the top.

Yup.
Pretty much everyone has been stunned that that there was no over watch team on the roof of the building the shooter used because it is such an obvious pace to put one.
Turn out they did have one there, just inside the building. not on the roof.
And the team did spot the shooter doing obvious shooter things long before he even got on the roof and they reported the guy to the USSS command center at least a quarter of an hour before Trump got on stage.
Not at 130 yards.
That actually doesn't seem weird: Set up and communicate with command and each other near the Pres. without being seen or heard by the public or possible bad guys. It's consistent with doing their jobs.
The SS chick in charge not doing anything about what she heard--that would be treason.
For professional LE 100 yards is nothing. We routinely trained to make center mass shots over iron sights at that distance. We only went to magnified red-dot just before I retired. To a decent shot 130 yards is a walk in the park. Thank God Crooks wasn’t a decent shot, the wounded and killed notwithstanding.

So I guess from the angle of the bullets it’s been verified that the guy on the roof shot at President Trump...that it was not the sniper inside the building who shot at President Trump?
Yeah all’s not well that ended well.
A man die. A family is crushed.
And we amost had an unfathomable nightmare.
Why is the SS head still working?
I hope the addressed the guy who died protecting his family at the convention.
His family deserves it.
He was a head turn away from accomplishing what he set out to do and that is after being interrupted. The point being that hitting a man sized target at 100 or so yards doesn’t require any special skills or optics.
I don’t know which is more unfathomable: that the SS would take part in such a thing or be so earth shatteringly incompetent as to simply watch it happen.
But really the deep state under Biden has gotten that bad, every agency and it seems even every employee down to the last blue haired transgender identifying as a unicorn has abandoned any semblance of competence or morality to madly and single mindedly pursue a permanent leftist monopoly on power.
It’s bizarro world to the max and it is getting worse every day. In that context trying to make sense of this event is futile. It is just another piece of the insanity.
