Trump has already had a lot of recent help but still praying for Divine wisdom on this choice. May the hand of God again help this man.
I think Vance was the choice before the assassination attempt, then afterward, his close friend and advisor, Ben Carson, called him and said to him that there can be no clearer sign than you being “chosen” for this time.
For that reason, the photo of Trump and Carson together for the world to see will be amazing.
I’m hearing that Vance was picked up by a limousine.
As much as I respect Dr. Carson, he’s not the strong fighter we need as VP.
Vance is the right man for the job because he can articulate the MAGA philosophy in ways that appeal to those who don’t like Trump personally.
This is going to end up like the COVID-19 and Ukraine/Russia discussions on FR where members take sides and start ripping each other apart.
I hope they are wrong. The margins of victory in the Senate races are too close, and we don’t need to put another seat up for contention right now. JD does not ADD any additional element to Trump’s general election approach. Will Trump lose any of his supporters if he does not chose JD Vance? No.
Trump needs now to win the general election, not the GOP primaries. I hope he picks a great person who is also like him, an outsider.
I don’t see what votes he’ll bring in. Trump has pretty much got the demographics Vance appeals to locked up already.
