I hope they are wrong. The margins of victory in the Senate races are too close, and we don’t need to put another seat up for contention right now. JD does not ADD any additional element to Trump’s general election approach. Will Trump lose any of his supporters if he does not chose JD Vance? No.
Trump needs now to win the general election, not the GOP primaries. I hope he picks a great person who is also like him, an outsider.
DeWine makes the call on his replacement.
Personally, I think it’s down to Vance and Carson, with Gabbard a long shot (but less of one if Harris was replacing Biden).
I would send Rubio to be Ambassador to the UN, although Gabbard would be great for that too.
I don’t see what votes he’ll bring in. Trump has pretty much got the demographics Vance appeals to locked up already.
