Time has puzzled scientists for many decades. Does it meaningfully exist apart from our experience of it as everything moves toward the disintegration of entropy along its irrefutable arrow? You can’t put the “spilled milk” of the weirdness of time back in the jug. In new research published in the American Physical Society's peer-reviewed journal Physical Review A, scientists from Italy (led by Alessandro Coppo) try to translate one theory of time into real life—or, at least, closer to it. The theory is called Page and Wootters mechanism, and Coppo has studied it for years. It’s a quantum mechanics idea that dates back to 1983.

It’s like you looking at a book. For a character in the book he experiences all the events in the book in sequence. But for you outside the book all events I the book is a frozen totality.

You aren’t supposed to drink the bong water. Time is not an illusion. It does not speed up or slow down, and despite several hit TV shows and movies, you cannot travel into the past or future.
time is just something that keeps everything from happening all at once...
God doesn’t need time. He created it by ordering the celestial bodies in order to give Earth day and night as part of regulating the system. Also, I think He gave us humans partitions of time so that we wouldn’t be overwhelmed by eternity which is a mind-boggling concept. This, of course, is just my opinion.
Time is just a label attached to a configuration of matter in space. The labels are sequenced so it creates the impression time is flowing. But time doesn’t flow. Only matter does.

The problem is explaining it.
First one has to realize it directly and those who say they have, and I don’t doubt them, say that it can’t be explained in words to those who haven’t in a way that will cause them to see it themselves. And I don’t doubt them on that either.
And then it gets worse! Their best advice is to stop trying to see it because trying is one of the reasons, if not the main reason, that we are unable to see it.
One thing I am fairly sure of is that I haven’t told you anything you didn’t already know. LOLOL
It seems to me this study actually fits very well with the Bible. They just helped to prove that beings can exist among us that we cannot perceive because they exist outside of our perception of time. This is a strong scientific study for proving the possibility of another reality, let’s call it a spiritual reality, that is not a part of our “entangled system of entropy” as the scientists put it.
God and spirits, of course, as immortal beings would not be subject to entropy and would by this theory be able to observe human time from the outside as a single, still thing in its totality, while we would not be able to see them. The Bible suggests that God existed before and is indeed outside of time, so in keeping with this scientific theory He could understand the entirety of human existence, while we couldn’t even see Him.
It’s really fascinating to think of the implications of this study for the idea of a spiritual world that exists outside of time.
