Today, we learn that Ukraine hit three oil depot/refineries in Russia overnight. Ukrainian attack drones successfully struck a Russian Lukoil oil depot in Krasnodar Krai this morning, setting the facility ablaze.
We also learn that South Korea has begun considering sending arms and military aid to Ukraine in an unprecedented move. As a result of North Korea's new defensive pact, the South Koreans are becoming concerned of the possibility of war breaking out on the Korean Peninsula.
We have also heard that Russia is considering changing its nuclear doctrine from defensive to a "first-strike" doctrine. Putin continues to escalate the war in Ukraine as tensions continue to rise around the world.

Today is June 20, which is the day each year the bible of energy from BP releases its annual assessment of production and consumption of oil, gas, coal and other items.
Important items from today:
China oil consumption rose 10% in 2023 to over 16 million barrels/day. The US consumption is about 19 million bpd, up less than 1%. India’s oil consumption rose 4.5%.
US gas production exceeded 1 trillion cubic meters for the year, with a quoted reserves total of 12.6 Tcm. The gas reserves numbers are noted to be under review, but this 12.6 number (and Russia’s 37 Tcm number) have both been approximately that since pre Covid, and post fracking. Assessment of what is there in frackable rock has already been made.
Note above, that enormous 10% China rise is despite all those EVs, which apparently run on oil.

We fomented a Ukraine revolution/coup in 2014, caused a civil war and sided with the neo-Nazis and Ukrainian nationalists that wanted to exterminate the ethnic Russian population.
We encouraged Ukraine to ignore the Minsk Agreement it signed that would have brought peace to the region.
We armed Ukraine with offensive weapons, teased NATO membership for Ukraine and opened biological weapons labs there.
Then we built the Ukrainian army into the largest army in the NATO zone besides us, and massed it for deployment in the area of the Donbass in obvious preparation for an attack.
And finally, when Russia responded to all that, we claimed they invaded Ukraine for no good reason to annex territory.
