kiryandil quoting: "The Enfarter [direct from outside The Ukraine, safe from Ukie press gangs]:
"Putin continues to escalate the war in Ukraine""kiryandil: "OK, that's a lie."
It's only "a lie" if you deny the following amount to "escalation":
- May 10, 2024, Russia opened a new invasion front north of Kharkiv.
- June 14, 2024, Putin announced that Russian troops in the Ukraine theater had increased from around 600,000 six months ago to now 700,000.
- Since May 10, Russia's average casualties are estimated to have increased from circa 900 per day to 1,200 per day.
Old US tactical "Atomic Annie",
circa 1960:
- In recent months, increased waves of Russian missiles and drones launched against Ukrainian cities, especially electrical power plants.
- Increasing Russian threats and exercises in the use of tactical nuclear weapons against Ukraine.
So, you could be correct -- if these don't amount to
"escalation", then maybe that claim is a lie.
But, if these are not "escalation", then what, exactly, in your mind is?
