In 2024, lab-grown meat, or cultured meat, reached a point of gaining several regulatory approvals in various countries. These approvals mark crucial steps forward for the industry, assuring the public that the food is safe to eat and that investors are making wise decisions. It’s an industry that is projected to reach a value of $25 billion by 2030! However, some countries have gone as far as to ban the meat as it gets caught up in all sorts of political games

Gawd just let cows and bulls do their thing and produce calves.

I know I'm an old fool, what's next? Lab grown hops or grapes, to make beer or wine, from a bio-lab?

America’s truly heading to a society of Eloi and Morlocks. Corporate factory-processed food, Gov’t schools, and substance Govt welfare for the lower classes, with a class of people who do not buy into the hive-mind, debased culture, and fake history able to stay above it all.

I would looove to try lab grown meat. I am looking forward to it. This is not to say I will continue eating it if I don’t like how it tastes.

Aren’t you the pro-vaccine person? Say…Lab grown meat made from cancer cells will go nicely with fava beans, your vaccines, and a Chianti! Bon appetite!! Make sure and feed it to your entire family!

This is funny.

The cells forming the lab-grown “meat” must be grown using cell-culture media. Most cells will not grow unless they are fed serum. Specifically, this is fetal calf serum harvested by collecting the blood of fetal calves from cows at slaughter. (The fetal calves become unconscious from lack of oxygen when the mother is slaughtered. It is considered humane to drain their blood as long as they do not regain consciousness.)

So, in order to grow “meat” in the lab, pregnant cows must be slaughtered.

Might as well just eat the cows and let the scientists keep the fetal calf serum for research. That stuff is expensive... I’ve spent $1000 a liter for it (grant money, not my personal money).

Oh, and I have read a patent for lab-grown “meat.” That patent stated that the sources of cell culture media are tested for bovine spongiform encephalitis, aka “mad cow disease.” So, yeah, they’re using fetal calf serum.

The basic biological question that may or may not be solvable is how many cells can you pack in a fermenter without the cells dying in the growth process? And will that be enough cells for growing meat to be cost-effective?

It’s literally the definition of a tumor. Eat it if you want. I won’t even eat meat cooked on the same grill as that Frankenstein product.

You need more than that to form cancer or it wouldn’t have been FDA approved. The process of repeatable controlled cell growth is the exact opposite of cancer actually.

This the same FDA that approved the covid shot?

Eat it if you want. But it’s a tumor.

lab grown “meat” utilizes the division of so-called “immortal” cells, which regular folks would call cancer ...

the other problem with so-called lab grown “meat” is it costs twice as much to manufacture than simply growing and harvesting cattle because of the complexity of the process and the material and energy inputs into the manufacturing process ... in other words, lab grown “meat” is twice as inefficient as conventional cattle production in terms of resource consumption ...

wow! did they use the same approval process they used for the fake “vaccine” mRNA jabs?

Good questrion. I gave up pork and beef for a couple of reasons, and wonder whether they are making lab-grown chicken.

Pork: Hogs have higher IQs than dogs and I’m not eating your poodle.

Beef: Too much fat and now they are getting MRNA shots.
