It has been mentioned on the news that the sentencing for Trump has been timed to occur a mere 3 days prior to the GOP convention. Furthermore, it is quite possible that Merchan could immediately handcuff DJT and sentence him to a lengthy incarceration with little that could be done to prevent this..
I welcome your views and insights on this ..
1. Select a VP well before the election.
2. If Trump goes to jail immediately make the VP the presidential candidate. Make Trump the VP candidate.
3. After the acquittal trade places between Trump and the VP.
4. If the Republican presidential candidate (the VP) wins, if needed pardon Trump and then trade places with the VP. There is no known law against it.
Then Texas and probably other states would leave the union and form a separate free country.

I expect a 10 year suspended sentence. The rules to stay out of prison will be harsh. No travel, no free speech etc.
And I think when Marchan jails Trump, banana republic style, is when Putin will go ahead with tactical nukes on Brandon’s Ukraine fiasco, probably a Nato and a US military target. Then we go to nuclear war footing and cancel the election. One scenario.
Then they pass the “Mother of all Sedition Acts” and jail all MAGA supporters.
