Does Patrick Lahey, the cofounder and the CEO of the submersible manufacturer Triton Submarines, hire 50 year old white men to engineer his subs? If he doesn’t anyone would be a fool to ride in his subs.

The Navy submarines patrolling the Atlantic will no doubt hear a dramatic underwater "POOF!" from the Titanic's vicinity on the day that submersible goes down.
The Titanic should be left to be. We have gained as much information as we were bound to find from her, now almost forty years since Robert Ballard discovered the wreck. How many people have visited her since then and in doing so caused even more damage to her?
Titanic should be left alone for all time. Let the sea erode her gracefully away.

4000 meters...which is the max depth for the submersible if I read it right...is just 200 meters more than the Titanic depth.
I guess nothing says “fun” like testing the max load of piece of machinery, where its potential failure means that you are crushed instantly and left at the bottom of the black abyss of the north Atlantic.

While I view this project as nothing more than a rich man stroking his ego, there’s no reason why a properly engineered sub can’t do this safely.

This has the potential to be hilarious.
