Hell, NO!!!!
Sorry for the language, but there are places I will never go. Eating bugs is one of them.
We find the odd shell stuck to a tree from time to time, but so far I have not seen one this year. From photos I’ve seen, I’m glad!
Tastes kinda like spotted owl?
Ate stir fried locust in Hong Kong. Gut were squirted out and re-filled with chili paste.
In my defense I was 25, drunk, and dared by a super cute girl.
No.
Chitin.
Leviticus.

It’s a load of crap. The big ones were 2021, 2004 and 1987. That was pretty cool. I was there as a casual observer. Now, the powers-that-be are setting us up for another pandemic with their bird flu (H5N1), with a supposed 25% infection fatality rate. Don’t trust them, don’t believe them. They lie.
Also, don’t believe the doom-and-gloom supposed experts on solar flares. Cycle 25 is at max, which provided a beautiful total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024. But the coronal mass ejection of May 10, 2025, was not exceptional. Pretty lights in the sky? Electrical grids down? Not even close.
But if there is a significant electromagnetic pulse in the near future, it will be most likely human caused. Keep watch.
Eclipse 2024: But the Moon did reign supreme if just for a moment in time, shining bright like a black pearl surrounded by a crown of white. Who would have believed unless they had seen it with their own eyes?
I stand as a witness that these things are not by human hands. Prepare for more than annoying bugs.
I ate grasshoppers and large black ants in survival school. Pull the legs off the grasshoppers or they can stick in your throat. They tasted of pretty much nothing to faintly like a peanut. The ants tasted of lemon drops. That being said, I much preferred the fish and the rabbit. And pizza and beer when we came back in from the field.
I need more info.
Are these “free range” cicadas?
No.
Hillary says they are great with Salsa.
“Bleep”-NO!!
The only Creepy Crawlers on my menu would probably be nothing more exotic than farm raised shrimp or imitation crab. Yes. I freely admit liking imitation crab, sometimes as much as the real thing.
I did not claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat BUGS!
Don’t eat if allergic to seafood- apparently it will kill a person or put them I to anaphalactic shock or sumthin
...and you'll like it.
When the last cicada deluge occurred a clown in Cincinnati ate several handfuls of the insects and died.
Short answer: no.
Long answer: Nooooooooooooooo……..
Even without taste.
