POLL: Are you ready to chow down on cicadas?

Glenn told us we were going to eat bugs, and here we are...

If you live anywhere between Texarkana and Chicago, you have likely already seen—or heard—about the 2024 cicada superbrood. This Biblical-scale insect invasion is the result of two cicada broods, Brood XIII and Brood XIX, emerging simultaneously. The last time something like this happened was in 1803. Trillions of cicadas will swarm out of the earth and fill the trees with a chorus of deafening buzzing. It didn't take long for the leftist elites to hop on this opportunity to push Klaus Schwab's dream: "eat the bugs."

The New York Times cooking column published a piece trying to entice their readers to eat what they called the "lobsters of the trees." One person in the article suggested grinding the bugs into a powder to garnish the rim of a drinking glass. This all might sound very appetizing to lizards, but to people... not so much.

But what do you think? Does a cicada sound like a tasty snack? Have you ever eaten a bug? Is all this hype around cicadas part of Klaus Schwab's plan, or just seasonal hype?

Johnathan Cahn rightly pointed out that the sexual perversion we’re seeing today is more insidious than we realize.

Masculinity in men and femininity in women is condemned, but masculinity in women and femininity in men is lauded.

You and I must travel in the same “cinematic circles” because whenever I want to reply with a movie reference, you have an uncanny knack of posting the exact same one first…which makes me laugh every time it happens…:)

That said, I’m taking my grandkids back to suburban Chicago around mid-June to experience them again; day-trip.
They were youngsters back then (2007).

It’s something everyone should be a part of.
If only for short time.

I ate grasshoppers and large black ants in survival school. Pull the legs off the grasshoppers or they can stick in your throat. They tasted of pretty much nothing to faintly like a peanut. The ants tasted of lemon drops. That being said, I much preferred the fish and the rabbit. And pizza and beer when we came back in from the field.

Only as an adult do you survey the damage to your ornamental trees in your yard.
Our redbud tree didn’t make it.

Death of a thousand cuts.
By ovipositors.

“Bleep”-NO!!

The only Creepy Crawlers on my menu would probably be nothing more exotic than farm raised shrimp or imitation crab. Yes. I freely admit liking imitation crab, sometimes as much as the real thing.
