MSNBC Panel Can’t ‘Make Sense’ Of New Poll Showing Americans Think Biden Is Bigger Threat To Democracy
Daily Caller ^ | May 8, 2024 | NICOLE SILVERIO - MEDIA REPORTER

An MSNBC panel grew bewildered at a poll indicating independent voters find President Joe Biden to be a bigger threat to democracy than former President Donald Trump.

A PBS Newshour/NPR/Marist poll found 53% of independents believe Biden’s second term will “weaken America,” while 42% believed Trump would further harm democracy.

“I find it shocking, honestly,” MSNBC political analyst Susan Del Percio said. “I can’t make sense of that number. I wish I could. I wish I could have some really great insight to it, but I don’t know if it’s an outlier or not, because the other numbers of independents are going in the right direction. So, that may be it.”

Del Percio appeared to blame the media for not airing Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s trial on television for people’s disinterest in the case and belief that Biden is a bigger threat to democracy.

The poll found that 45% of Americans believe the trial is unfair and is plotting to interfere in the 2024 presidential election. A majority, 54%, found the trial to be fair in order to find if Trump violated the law.

A majority of those surveyed viewed both Biden and Trump unfavorably, with 56% disapproving of Trump and 54% hold a negative view of Biden, according to the poll. Thirty-seven percent of Americans said Trump’s potential second term could strengthen democracy, while 30% said the same for Trump.

Trump has repeatedly held a narrow lead against Biden in recent polls. A New York Times/Siena College poll from April 13 found Trump holding a 46%-45% lead over Biden, creating a more competitive race from the month prior, where Trump held a 5-point lead.

The former president is leading Biden in key swing states, including Georgia, Arizona, and Wisconsin.

Can we all admit that a non-negligible reason that we want to see Trump win is to watch these media people lose whatever passes as their minds? I look forward to that, assuming the Democrats don’t just cheat again.

He most certainly is a threat to our republic, and it’s republican form of government. I know nothing of democracy, democrat, democratic.

It’s simple...

the MSNBC panel is composed of people who don’t really understand what real democracy is, and to them, it’s about what the ‘democratic’ party says. To them, ‘democratic’ in their party’s name says it all, and so, democrats take their party’s name literally.

Living in a liberal bubble tends to warp people’s minds. Same with Al-Qaeda and ISIS members, who can’t understand what Christianity is about.

Is that Biden's secret plan?

Put another guy named Trump on the ballot?

What Democracy? We are supposed to be a Republic.

I think Democracy is a “dog whistle” term used by the left to refer to their communist revolution.

They don’t really care about threats to Democracy (much less threats to The Republic).

What they really care about is threats to DEMOCRATcy.

One reason could be the unfair persecution he’s had to endue since 2016. Trump is way over the top in many cases, but he’s been unfairly stymied since the Russia Hoax. Many people support him simply for these facts alone.

Since the days of commercial radio, the networks have assumed that THEY control the public opinion. The Information Explosion has upset that apple cart. The Left and their single source for what they choose to tell the sheep is breaking down.

Calling the information that doesn't support the official narrative conspiracy theory is a losing tactic.

A lot of people don't like Trump. (I'm one of them.) However, Obiden is orders of magnitude worse. It's comparing a hang nail, (Trump) to pancreatic cancer. It is all a sea change of the paradigm, and change is always difficult for the lower half of the Bell Curve.

These are media people making mid-six figures and higher, who are driven to work, in New York City. Of COURSE they don’t get it!
