I remember him from the old days of the Religion forum.

May his memory be eternal.

I am so sorry to hear this. When I finally, after a long time as an ardent lurker, dared to join FreeRepublic Charles was the first one to greet me welcome. His friendly comments made me feel at home immediately. Both then and later we had discussions about Sweden - politics, social life and religion. He was very proud of his Swedish heritage and always keen to hear news about his ancestral homeland.

With Charles's passing one of the true gentlemen of FR has left us.

Please, convey my deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Happy, very happy for Charles in his well-deserved early promotion from the woes of this temporal realm, into full realization of God's promise that Martin Luther found in the Greek of Romans 1:16-17!

Most certainly Charles is everlastingly still alive, and for we that also have the full confidence of Romans 6:11 (AV):

"Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord"

Just to ensure the historical record is straight, Mr. Henrickson originally coined the phrase "Magical Misery Tour" for Obama's non-campaign campaign tour in 2011. It was not Mitt Romney or Rush Limbaugh, who used the phrase later.
