Sounds reasonable to me.
Welcome to the family court system where justice is utterly unknown.
There was a case a few years back where a woman dragged a man into court for child support, took a DNA test and showed he was not the father of that child but the judge said, “Well, somebody has to pay for this child, so you’re it!”..............
What a moron.
It doesn’t say how he donated. Probably because he didn’t do it via a legitimate licensed sperm bank.
Those informal sperm donor agreements are worthless.
He could just marry the broad he impregnated.
That’s how it’s been done for tens of thousands of years.
I would think that if you’re dealing with a reputable clinic both the woman and the donor would sign an agreement stating that the donor cannot be held responsible for child support,etc. In fact I would think that it would stipulate that the donor can’t even be identified.
He should have ran up to the judge, tagged him and said: "now YOU'RE it!" and hightailed it out of there.

I had my own Kafkaesque experiences with social workers and family court. Even after I was eighteen these vermin tried to pursue me. Part of why I was happy to leave California and move to Wyoming.

Sue the facility for breach of contract and fraud?
With all these dna testing services, you could potentially identify the man or perhaps a close relation and track down from there. I don’t personally like those services but I know plenty of people who use them. I think they’ve solved some crimes by tracking down relations of the perp using DNA.
I would say “post of the day”, but that is worthy of way more than even a decade.
I watched a video a few days ago wherein a young mother cheerfully explained that she is a lesbian in a committed relationship and her partner was working to support them and it was so hard that she decided to sue the sperm donor. She asked her friend at the sperm donor clinic to get his name. She won her case and got 40% of his wages and she cheerfully said now she can be comfortable as a stay at home mom, and her partner doesn’t have to worry or work as hard.
Every now and again justice and the Constitution sneak into family court...
if one is functioning in a significant father role PRIOR to the dna test then one is considered the ethical or moral father even if not the bio father.
The courts will not that that away from a child.
Personally I think all babies need to be dna tested for their dad. I also think that no man has claim on a child that he does not does not have a legal relationship with the mother.
I also think no woman has a claim on a man who she does not have a legal relationship with. The child is her financial issue.
I am okay with this.
why do you think a family court would honor such a document. There is no law or justice in a family court.
