Virus Prophylaxis and Treatment

I urgently prompted my Dr. for more than 1 year for prevention and treatment protocols for possibly imminent, high lethality viruses. She's a good Dr. but her training gets in the way of giving a straight answer. The following very simple elements use 1) an inexpensive Dr. Z. protocol, 2) saline and very dilute hydrogen peroxide administered via home nebulizer, and 3) low-dose lithium from Dr. Michael Nehls.

The protocol of the late Dr. Zev Zelenko, with which he suffered only 1 demise among 7,000 patients, uses Vitamin D, zinc, quercetin to substitute for hydroxychloroquine (generally unavailable because prescription only) to allow the zinc to be assimilated, and Vitamin C to make quercetin to work. (So, Vitamin C to Quercetin to Zinc.)

HCQ is prescription based only. Dr. Zelenko recommends Quercetin as an over-the-counter alternative. It is a plant derivative that does essentially the same thing as HCQ and is readily available. Quercetin, like HCQ, is a zinc ionophore which allows a rapid increase in intracellular zinc levels. It also enhances vitamin transportation to the cells. Vitamin C is a required cofactor for Quercetin to work. Vitamin D helps our immune systems to stay balanced.

Common home Nebulizer ($30-$40) as shown at Amazon, for administration into the Naso-Pharyngeal area of Saline and very dilute Peroxide. (CAUTION: Very exact dilution of the Peroxide is essential. Many people are used to saline nose wash. But failure to properly dilute the Peroxide can cause grave illness.)

Dr. Michael Nehls argues persuasively that, in addition to Vitamin D, low dose lithium, 1mg-5mg, is essential for good health of the hippocampus, for establishing new nerve cells so our store of auto-biographical memories aren't overwritten--we could forget what we used to know, and how we came to know it--and Alzheimer's avoidance. https://michaelnehls.substack.com/p/lithium-the-essential-trace-element

The only missing part of the protocol is prescription-only Azithromycin (take two 250 mg tablets by mouth on day 1, then take one 250 mg tablet by mouth daily on days 2 through 5). A group called the Wellness Company does website driven remote prescriptions, but only with a rather pricey kit at about $300.

Ivermectin is available on Amazon or anywhere that you can find horse supplies. We get the paste from our vet but I’ve ordered it on Amazon too. I also take zinc, vitamin C and quercetin.

“low-dose lithium”

Interesting. That’s the first I’ve heard of low dose lithium being used for covid, although I can kind of see the rationale of why it might be useful for brain fog. It has some neuro-protective properties.

“hydroxychloroquine (generally unavailable because prescription only)”

There’s places you can get it now but there’s also an easy alternative - cinchona bark extract which is quinine and which will serve the same purpose as hydroxychloroquine.

If you learn how to buy from India, you can get IMV, HCQ, and antibiotics without Rx.

I highly recommend that if you happen to catch Covid, avoid this unscientific and untested "protocol."

Of course, Dr. Z was able to claim that he only saw one death among 7,000 patients. That's because the patients following his "protocol" whose illness got worse ended up in the hospital and were no longer his patients.

There are only two ways to prevent catching a viral disease. One way is to completely avoid exposure. If the virus spreads through the respiratory route, the only surefire way to avoid exposure is to stay indoors where all the air is filtered. The other way is to get vaccinated. This way depends on how well your immune system functions (if you have a disease that impairs immune function, you won't be as protected), but it gives you a great deal of freedom as compared to remaining in isolation.

Quercetin and (hydroxy)chloroquine are not interchangeable. They each interact with different proteins in the body and they have different structures:

Structure of (H)Cl. The addition of oxygen on the end (the "hydroxy" addition) makes the molecule more water soluble.

Structure of quercetin.

They simply are not the same or even similar.

The graphic claims that zinc cannot get into cells. This is completely untrue. There is an entire class of proteins called "zinc finger proteins" that interact with DNA. How would those proteins exist if zinc does not enter cells? In the real world, where scientists live, any substance that increases the uptake of zinc into cells would be a serious toxicity concern. No scientist would make such a recommendation without a serious body of evidence to support it.

As for antiviral properties of quercetin plus vitamin C, I found this one paper: Quercetin and Vitamin C: An Experimental, Synergistic Therapy for the Prevention and Treatment of SARS-CoV-2 Related Disease (COVID-19). (www.pubmed.gov search conducting using term "quercetin AND vitamin c viral.") Judging by the fact that this paper is only a review--meaning that its purpose is to summarize a body of research on the subject--and there are no follow-on study publications, I surmise two things. One, that this review was written in conjunction with a research grant application for pre-clinical studies. Two, that in vitro and in vivo (animal) studies did not pan out. I would never suggest a human treatment protocol based only on a literature review without extensive studies to back it up.

The recommendation of 5,000 U of vitamin D per day is excessive. Since vitamin D is fat soluble, excesses are not eliminated rapidly. Taking that much vitamin D can lead to the buildup of toxic quantities of vitamin D in the body. The safest way to take vitamin D is on the advice of your doctor who tells you an appropriate dose based on your serum levels. It's not safe to take mega doses of vitamin D (or anything else) just because you read something on the internet or saw it in some "health guru" book.

Finally, I will say that I commend the addition of a warning to dilute the hydrogen peroxide. I would never use H2O2 for anything except topical use; I don't want to breathe any more of it than I am exposed to when I open the H2O2 bottle. H2O2 is an oxidant with broad antimicrobial properties due to its toxicity.

Had ‘virus syndrome’ for 2 weeks. Miserable.

Ingested about 1.5 inches of 1.87% ivermectin horse paste out of desperation. After 24 hours, 98% feeling better. Thats my experience.

Proving the Jim Jones Jab isn't a vaccine because people who took it still got COVID-1984.

The third way to prevent catching a viral disease is to have natural immunity from beating one of it's related strains. People who were exposed to SARS COVID in 2003 still had the antibodies in 2019.

The Branch Covidians suppressed the truth about natural immunity.

ROTFLMAO.

“If the virus spreads through the respiratory route, the only surefire way to avoid exposure is to stay indoors where all the air is filtered. “

Wrong. Incomplete. Thats not surefire as you failed to mention eliminating exposure via other people entering said environment. Lazy.

You praise Fauci on other posts.

You have no idea how medical professionals can all collude on the covid topic (hint:government influence and financials)

You claim you’re a specialist.

You’re, by self admission, a ex-dem.

If you claim to be a medical professional post-covid you have got a LONG road ahead of you if you expect me, and the majority of Americans to trust A SINGLE DAMN THING YOU SAY. Corruption, arrogance, greed and fear mark the professionals in your field. Dartmouth Hitchcock is an excellent example of the douchebags in the medical field currently.

Many of the flunkies that I witnessed dropping out of engineering did quite well in medical school. I shake my head at the idiots that succeed there.

I’ve never been dim enough to subscribe to collectivist/democrat theology, but appearantly you were, and still do, following the disease of collectivism, intellectual and political blindness.

Hope I never have need of any care or research conclusions you are supplied with.

I have taken the recommended daily dosage pf quercetin (500 mg), vitamin C (1400 mg), zinc gluconate (calculated as 50 mg of zinc oxide), vitamin DDDD3 (4,000 i. u.) since April, 2020 relying on an earlier set of paper before these, which are a bit better done and written than the not-incorrect but poorly polished Zelenko ones. I have never permitted myself to be "vaccinated" for COVID-19 or any other ones in the years of my life, before or after.

Here are a couple of the very precise references, out of many others since the onset of the virus:

Abstract
========

Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) represents an emergent global threat which is straining worldwide healthcare capacity. As of May 27th, the disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) has resulted in more than 340,000 deaths worldwide, with 100,000 deaths in the US alone. It is imperative to study and develop pharmacological treatments suitable for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19. Ascorbic acid is a crucial vitamin necessary for the correct functioning of the immune system. It plays a role in stress response and has shown promising results when administered to the critically ill. Quercetin is a well-known flavonoid whose antiviral properties have been investigated in numerous studies. There is evidence that vitamin C and quercetin co-administration exerts a synergistic antiviral action due to overlapping antiviral and immunomodulatory properties and the capacity of ascorbate to recycle quercetin, increasing its efficacy. Safe, cheap interventions which have a sound biological rationale should be prioritized for experimental use in the current context of a global health pandemic. We present the current evidence for the use of vitamin C and quercetin both for prophylaxis in high-risk populations and for the treatment of COVID-19 patients as an adjunct to promising pharmacological agents such as Remdesivir or convalescent plasma.

Abstract
=========

Objectives and Setting.
As the lethal COVID-19 pandemic enters its second year, the need for effective modalities of alleviation remains urgent. This includes modalities that can readily be used by the public to reduce disease spread and severity. Such preventive measures and early-stage treatments may temper the immediacy of demand for advanced anti-COVID measures (drugs, antibodies, vaccines) and help relieve strain also on other health system resources.

Design and Participants.
We present results of a clinical study with a multi-component OTC “core formulation” regimen used in a multiply exposed adult population. Analysis of clinical outcome data from our sample of over 100 subjects − comprised of roughly equal sized regimen-compliant (test) and non-compliant (control) groups meeting equivalent inclusion criteria − demonstrates a strong statistical significance in favor of use of the core formulations.

Results.
While both groups were moderate in size, the difference between them in outcomes over the 20-week study period was large and stark: Just under 4% of the compliant test group presented flu-like symptoms, but none of the test group was COVID-positive; whereas 20% of the non-compliant control group presented flu-like symptoms, three-quarters of whom (15% overall of the control group) were COVID-positive.

Conclusions.
Offering a low cost, readily implemented anti-viral approach, the study regimen may serve, at the least, as a stopgap modality and, perhaps, as a useful tool in combatting the pandemic.

My experience has been that once I contracted the virus unbeknowingly from a close friend who was giving me transportation, for which the effects lasted only two and a half days, with no other aftereffects. Otherwise, no other incidents or symptoms characteristic of COVID-19.

If you choose to use azithromycin, be very sure that you don't have a heart arrhythmia. My oldest son had 4 open heart surgeries, 2 artificial valves and a pacemaker. Azithromycin causes elongation of the QT interval (interval between heart beats). Taken to the limit, that QT elongation results in cardiac death. Vanderbilt University published a paper detailing cardiac death in 238 cases where azithromycin was prescribed. It was published a mere 5 hours after my son passed.

Thats not surefire as you failed to mention eliminating exposure via other people entering said environment.

If you are staying confined indoors in an area with filtered air, why would you allow other people to enter that area without taking precautions? Such as requiring them to wear PPE and sanitizing the surfaces of that PPE?

I surmise that you have never actually been in a biosafety or biosurety room. For preventing the spread of pathogens, nothing is better.

You have no idea how medical professionals can all collude on the covid topic (hint:government influence and financials)

This is in pure conspiracy territory. If everyone in the medical community (and I assume you meant to include the medical research community, as well) were colluding to invent and spread lies, then how is it that they present such a consistent description of Covid? Where you find "descriptions" that are all over the place is in the charlatan/antivax literature. Not only is the antivax narrative inconsistent, but it seems that claims can change in an instant if it helps to scare people. How do tens of thousands of highly educated people cooperate on such a conspiracy, anyway? Most of them are too busy treating patients or doing research to even have time to conspire.

If you claim to be a medical professional post-covid you have got a LONG road ahead of you if you expect me, and the majority of Americans to trust A SINGLE DAMN THING YOU SAY.

I have never claimed to be a medical professional. I am a medical researcher. I know more than the vast majority of physicians about the topic of infectious disease because most physicians are not trained to do research. They are trained to diagnose and treat patients, which is a completely different skill set.

FYI, the majority of Americans actually do accept the information provided by the scientific community. If I use vaccination rates as a proxy for people who get their information from the scientific community, then at least 70-80% of people accept the science. I say this because by May 2023, 81% of the population had received at least one dose and 70% was considered fully vaccinated. US Coronavirus vaccine tracker.

Only people who believe antivax propaganda instead of scientists refuse to get vaccinated. And, since the propaganda was targeted mostly at Republicans, this means that Republicans remain more likely to die from Covid than Democrats. It looks like the goal of the antivaxxers is to get more Republicans to die, thereby causing more elections to go to Democrats and pushing us closer to a totalitarian socialist government.

“I surmise that you have never actually been in a biosafety or biosurety room”

BEEP. WRONG. Again. This is becoming a disturbing trend with you.

“...EVERYONE in the medical community...”
Everyone? That is YOUR term in a pathetic attempt to discredit the opposing viewpoint.

Fact is, you push the term vaccination when, as related to covid, its nothing of the sort. Nor does it stop someone from contracting it, nor does it stop someone from transmitting it.

Your whole stream of consciouness is utter Bravo Sierra.

Now, I’ve said all I care to say to you. I detest willful ignorance paired with arrogance and foolishness. The Lord states in Proverbs a fool hates knowledge. Nothing can be done fo

As for me, I prefer to not wrestle with pigs and prostitutes. The latter person just gets dirty while the pig and prostitute enjoy it. So, buh bye.
