After Elon Musk called out the Deep State, specifically the CIA and their propaganda machine (i.e., Twitter), I wasn't all that surprised to see what amounts to a death threat - a fake obituary for him. Initially I didn't post this trash, but I think people should know what he has risked, and continues to risk.

Nowadays, though, "reputable" is a loaded term when it comes to the American media.  Many consider the Washington Post one of America's premier newspapers. But it was the Washington Post that cavalierly admitted that, two months ago, it published a blatantly false article that purported to show Donald Trump bullying and trying to bribe a Georgia investigator into identifying fraud in the election whether or not any existed.  This charge was so egregious that it showed up in the second impeachment the Democrats brought against Donald Trump.  And it was a lie.

Smells being used to treat depression:

Our sense of smell tells us where it is safe to live, helps us find food, helps us choose the right partner and recognise our own child. “Smell has been an essential survival mechanism for humans over the course of 1.5 million years,” says Professor James Goodwin, the director of science at the Brain Health Network and the author of Supercharge Your Brain. And having a well-functioning sense of smell is really important for our mental health.

In February, a landmark study by neuroscientists from the University of Pittsburgh revealed that smelling familiar scents can help improve mood in people suffering from depression. For their study, the researchers enrolled 32 people aged 18-55 with severe depression. They were exposed to 12 smells in airtight jars along with a written clue as to the scent.

It turned out smells evoked more specific memories from their lives than word cues.

Problems with autobiographical memory are a hallmark of major depressive disorder, explains Dr Kymberly Young, the co-author of the study, which means patients focus only on negative events or interpret events in a negative light. But smell-triggered memories tend to be more clear and “real” and more effective at triggering positive events, which can interrupt negative thought patterns. “If we improve memory, we can improve problem-solving, emotion regulation and other functional problems that depressed individuals often experience.”

Many of us use lavender on our pillow to help with stress and insomnia. “Lavender is an analgesic, so it reduces pain. It is also proven to be anxiolytic, so it dissolves our anxieties,” says Prof Goodwin. These soothing properties can be just as helpful in clinical settings.

Most excitingly, aromatherapy can help patients living with dementia, says Prof Goodwin who is a big believer in the power of essential oils which can permeate the brain and produce powerful chemical changes to our mood. “Normally the cells of the blood vessels in the brain are meshed very tightly to stop substances passing through what’s called the blood brain barrier. But essential oils are very small aromatic molecules that evaporate easily into the air and can be breathed in. They enter the general circulation and pass into the brain.”

There is scientific evidence that lavender oil can reduce occurrences of aggressive behaviour in dementia. But a host of essential oils can be used for the treatment of Alzheimer’s. “In dementia patients, amyloid beta protein (amyloid plaques) accumulates between the cells and we know that 6-Gingerol (ginger) reduces amyloid accumulation. Coriander, like lavender, can be used to reduce agitation. Rosemary improves concentration. Sweet orange, sandalwood, rose and bergamot also help to dissolve anxiety. Peppermint can bolster acetylcholine, a transmitter that plays a role in memory, learning and attention.” He advises families of dementia patients to use essential oils when massaging their hands and feet, add them to a bath, or heat in an oil burner as a mood lifter.

All I have been smelling for about 5-6 weeks lately is fireplace smoke or cigarette smoke and nobody smokes and no fires have been lit. It’s driving me crazy! It’s worse at night when I lay my head down to try and sleep. UGH! It goes with me wherever I go. Started after I was running a good fever on and off a few weeks.

Here’s what you need to know about “contaminated fuel” on really big ships. Having built this stuff and know where to find the makers, tech manuals, specs, catalogs, and all the rest, I can tell you that the US Navy wrote the book on how to keep their fuel clean and what to do if it gets junk in it. There are dozensplus kinds/sizes of filters, strainers, moisture separaters, krap detectors, and all the rest that it takes to keep motor fuel serviceable.

Understanding that these big troublesome tubs are not “US Navy” it’s worth knowing that the guys who design and build them have the exact same access to the stuff the Navy uses.

Anyone building and paying good money for a 40,000 plus horsepower diesel engine is not going to scrimp on whatever it takes to insure it’s fed clean fuel. Aristotle Onassis hisself never lost a ship or a bridge due to dirty fuel.

Note that there are no reports of any ship having to steam clean its fuel tank to restart and get underway. So nobody has dumped a barrel full of dirt into a fuel tank.

That leaves sabotage, lazyass pre-checklisting, langwidge barriers, or some other really really dunderheaded level of incompetence that amount to the same thing?

Senator Lindsey Graham should spend more time focusing on all of the many people being killed because of our now non-existent Border, and the millions of people dying in senseless, never-ending Wars that he constantly favors and promotes, and should spend less time on taking away our Great Roe v. Wade Victory of sending a complicated and controversial Issue back to the States where, according to Highly Respected Legal Scholars on both sides, it belongs. Senator Lindsey Graham is doing a great disservice to the Republican Party, and to our Country. At first he wanted no Abortions under any circumstances, then he was up to 6 weeks, where you’re allowed Abortion, now he’s up to 15 weeks, where you’re allowed Abortion, but what he doesn’t understand, or perhaps he does, is the Radical Left Democrats, who are destroying our Country, will never approve anything that he or the Republicans want. They love this Issue, and they want to keep it going for as long as Republicans will allow them to do so. Terminating Roe v. Wade was, according to all Legal Scholars, a Great Event, but sometimes with Great Events come difficulties. Many Good Republicans lost Elections because of this Issue, and people like Lindsey Graham, that are unrelenting, are handing Democrats their dream of the House, Senate, and perhaps even the Presidency…

People forget, fighting Roe v. Wade was, right from the beginning, all about bringing the Issue back to the States, pursuant to the 10th Amendment and States’ Rights. It wasn’t about anything else. After we won, Marjorie Dannenfelser of SBA, and Lindsey Graham, started saying, “No, let’s go back to the Federal Government with 0 weeks,” and when they got nowhere, they upped it to 6 week, and more recently they upped it to 15 weeks, and were obviously willing to take the number UPWARD, UPWARD, UPWARD because they were getting nowhere with the Democrats, and they never will, because the Democrats would never give up on this Issue no matter how many weeks the Republicans went - even if they went, “Unlimited Abortion!” We had a Great Victory, it’s back in the States where it belongs, and where everyone wanted it. The States will be making the decision. Republicans are now free to run for Office based on the Horrible Border, Inflation, Bad Economy, and the Death & Destruction of our Country!
