Can a Civil Engineer weigh in on this?

Thankfully, when the power came up between the outages, the ship was able to tell the authorities that they were having a problem and the authorities were able to stop traffic across the bridge. Otherwise, this might have been much worse.
Nope.
Please don’t feed the trolls.
also, the jet fuel won’t melt steel - let me say this - it didn’t have to melt steel. It just had to make it weak. Have you ever heated metal and seen what happens to it when it gets hot?
Also, the FDNY knew ANY uncontrolled fire above the 30th floor would absolutely bring the building down in UNDER and hour because there was NO fire protection applied above the 30th floor because the asbestos used for that purpose was outlawed during construction. You can even watch a documentary about the building of the twin towers (made in the 80s) that mentions this point. Nothing was needed but a hot fire.
It’s hard to believe that modern ships like this don’t have battery backup for communications and other vital systems.
Nonsense.
Pure BS!
Many videos show in great clarity.
Time distance and shielding...
They weren’t in the belts very long, the Spacecraft had pretty good shielding plus they were in their protective space suits until translunar space, They had little exposure to anything that might have been lethal. They did have more exposure to cosmic radiation when on the opposite side of the moon while in orbit around the moon. They saw occasional streaks of light with their eyes shut that was due to stray particles of cosmic rads ... but once back in translunar space headed for home that stopped because of the relative protection of the Earth and its fields.
The got to the moon...I just don’t think many folks in charge were candid about what happened there...especially on the first trip. They saw some strange stuff going on and they couldn’t talk about it. They say Armstrong was a changed man and became almost a recluse and didn’t talk about his trip much after that!
LOLOL! HA HA HA HA HA!!
I saw what you did there!!!
Uh oh...some fool of a bridge took its covid shot and 18 boosters! ROFLOLOLOL!
You win the Satire Internet award of the Day!
But these vessels most surely would have backup power generation systems that are cut over to in loss of power situations, would they not?
But this adds information that I had not gleaned from watching the video of the bridge collapsing. So, in that context seeing the vessel making a hard right, would appear strange. 😋
Thanks to all three of you for your input, and you Paul for the video link. 🙂👍
I’m with ya
Marvin wants to know.
I’ll drink to that.
You should ask for your tuition back. The whole point of being an engineer is to be able to design things that work.
You clearly haven’t designed anything
Re: 52 - Correct, came upon an auto accident where the driver was ejected. His body exhibited similar positioning.
Another issue to start spreading literally insane, crazy nonsense.
The impact of a moving barge of that size was more than enough to have caused that damage...you can literally watch the wave of energy roll like dominos...there’s already enough there to create a crazy, nonsensical conspiracy if you want to by claiming the ship was sabotaged to cause the power failures. But let’s say explosives were also involved just for the heck of it even though they’d be completely unnecessary - special kind of crazy.

That kind of stuff.
really...they just gotta start this crazy conspiracy stuff...they cant resist.
lol
The detonations reside solely in the twit’s head.
