Thankfully, when the power came up between the outages, the ship was able to tell the authorities that they were having a problem and the authorities were able to stop traffic across the bridge. Otherwise, this might have been much worse.
It’s hard to believe that modern ships like this don’t have battery backup for communications and other vital systems.
