A Swedish MP who advocated for open borders during the 2015 refugee crisis said she has completely changed her mind and now wants to see a significant number of deportations.
Louise Meijer, a lawmaker with the now-governing Moderate Party, previously “took a stand for openness” and supported the ‘Refugees Welcome’ mantra, but now wants to pull up the drawbridge completely.
“But I have changed my mind on the matter,” she told Expressen, adding she now supports “an even stricter migration policy than the one I opposed at the time.”
“The change that Sweden has undergone and is undergoing is fundamentally changing the country,” said Meijer, noting that “mass immigration has been followed by several major problems.”

This is what I like about the Swedes. They are level-headed people who are unafraid to ditch what doesn’t work.
I remember Trump saying, look what’s happened to Sweden, SWEDEN. Fake News media said it was a reason to inact the 25th ammendment.
Ms Meijer is learning the hard way of the term, “there goes the neighborhood”...

It is not hard to see what she was thinking. It has been preached and pushed for decades here as well.
1. Multiculturalism. No culture is better than any other, except Western Civilization, which is blamed for all ills of society.
2. All people are basically good. (a very bad premise)
3. All people are the same all over the world. (Another bad premise)
Given these false premises, why wouldn't you embrace open borders?

If you have lived in a country that has been peaceful for what? 200 years? You have a lot of normalcy bias and leftist training about your whiteness and racism to overcome. I hope she breaks the dam and allows others to acknowledge the failure of leftist wokeness.
Soon after the incident the Mayor of that city suggested that to avoid such incidents in the future German women should dress more modestly.

Yes. Many will just harden their hearts and double down on it. We’ve got the same types here.
Was just discussing with the wife yesterday how incredible it is that all of these countries including the United States and the people didn’t stand up and stop it until it had become such a serious problem which was totally predictable.
I’ve never heard a US politician EVER admit a mistake, much less take corrective action. Yet everything they do makes everything much worse. Then they make even more stupid mistakes attempting to fix their first mistakes.
Then they realize their mistakes can be used to their advantage (open borders creates new illegal voters and alters the census for Congressional seats). and they intentionally accelerate their mistakes.
Can they start with her?
