A few years ago there was an ugly incident in a major German city (can't recall which one) in which a number of German women were despicably violated...in various ways...by a number of young moslem men.

Soon after the incident the Mayor of that city suggested that to avoid such incidents in the future German women should dress more modestly.

Cologne and other cities, New Year’s Eve 2015. IIRC the (female) mayor suggested the young women should “stay at arm’s length distance” or some similar inane stupidity.

Yeah, good luck with that in a crowd.
