The Germans didn’t invent beer.
They perfected it...........................
As an Irish friend once told me, that is why they were destined to never become leaders. π€£
Reinheitsgebot
Even the ancients enjoyed their beer gardens.
It used to be against the law to print or advertise the alcohol content of beer (ABV or alcohol by volume). The regulators feared that beer companies would get into a marketing war over who makes weak beer or which has more alcohol. But now we have all these varieties, and substitute alcoholic seltzers. So now itβs allowed.
My neighbor is a party type guy. Always has people hanging out all times of day. Heβs a good neighbor, not raucous parties just very social. So I came to bringing him a 30 pack once or twice a week to cover my share - plus heβs generous with his food too. He is more a wine drinker but his guests chug beers. They were bringing Coors light. I brought regular Coors and they asked whyβ¦ my answer was that itβs the same price but has about 20% more alcohol.
My Croatian Mother said the same!
Malt, hops, yeast & water. Home brewer? I do sometimes. Haven’t in a while, but always enjoy the process and especially the result!
