Well thank you, young lady. I think I may try that! I don’t do much pork as I do find it dry. I do like the smoked pork chops done on the barbeque. Kasslers, I believe they’re called (in German I think).

The Royals are certainly going through some trying times. I don’t think I ever heard what Kate was in hospital for....I think it was about the same time King Charles was in. Do you know?

Camilla looks so old, I didn’t realize she was 76. Time flies

That’s so adorable!

I remember reading years ago when someone asked Camilla where she’d like to spend most of her days and she responded “In Charles’ trousers.” I haven’t thought much of her since then lol. Sorry for the visual. Oh, and that was well before they married lol.

“...what does the mayo actually do to the roast?”

“..the mayo will seal the spices to the steak and keep them from burning. J. Kenji López-Alt explains the science behind it in the New York Times, but in short, the mayonnaise is a sort of protective wetsuit for the spices. It keeps them in place and helps their flavor travel.Jun 28, 2022”

Also like I said my local store Yokes makes up the BEST seasonings for Prime Rib.

Ahhhh that’s why it looks like something out of a magazine. So juicy and delicious looking. I’m going to have to look up the spices and try the mayo thing. First I’ll have to see my bank manager to swing a small loan to buy the roast lol. I can try for a home improvement loan - that roast would certainly improve my home!

“I use Mayo for Shak N’ Bake pork chops!”

I season my pork chops then coat with Brown Mustard & and Panko Crumbs then fry them.

I bet they are real good with the mayo and Shak N’ Bake as well.

Lol I’ll bet Dolly will have some of her recipes posted after reading tonight’s conversation. I guess she’s having a little rendezvous with The Sandman now. I may do the same shortly. Spunky, did you say you got snow? Sorry if I missed it.

“I’m betting you do a fine watercolor!”

I am finding out there are so many different styles and techniques. Wet on Wet. Wet on dry etc. etc. and I learned that the watercolor paper will buckle so there are different ways people use to try to keep it from doing that. But it seems regardless what you use it is still going to buckle some.

So don’t count on seeing anything soon amd don’t bet on how good I will do. :-)

“PTSD”

My husbands uncle was in WW1. Back then they called it “Shell Shock”

He was put in somekind of hospital and treated with electric shock. When his brother, my husbands father, found out, they did everything to get him out of there and took him home to live with them. The VA paid them to care for him.

He was left not being able to talk. He would just go around grunting and touching the furniture standing there and jerking. He lived for many years.

For people who didn’t know the story, they thought he was a crazy person.
