A man who is 'obsessed with becoming a dad' has shed almost half his bodyweight by eating a 'carnivore' diet consisting of just meat and eggs in a bid to improve his fertility.
Isaiah Caldwell, 28, from St Louis, Missouri, tipped the scales at 434 pounds at his heaviest - but has now lost a staggering 210 pounds.
He started to make changes to his lifestyle after being told his weight might be causing fertility issues - and now weighs 224 pounds and feels 'a million times better'.
Tech salesman Isaiah, lost the weight by working out and following the strict carnivore diet, which sees followers ditch anything that has not come from an animal - leaving them with meat, eggs and dairy.
Isaiah, who is 6ft4 in height, is now happier and healthier than ever and he and his wife Amanda, 29, are still trying for a baby.

You might be ‘Insulin Resistant’...................
Since I announced my retirement last Spring, I’ve been going to the gym 5 days a week doing moderate weights and cardio, and bias my eating towards protein.
Lost 17 pounds, 3 inches around my waist, 10 points of blood pressure, and feel great!
Working out is far less important to losing body weight/fat than nutritional intake is.
Genetics>drugs and nutrition>exercise and lifestyle
Eliminating carbohydrates leads to a continuous state of ketosis.
He used his own metabolism to convert his own body fat into blood glucose available for cell food (energy).
Exactly.................Paging Chris Christi, Pick up on the red courtesy phone....................
5’11”, 168 lbs. this morning.
Chris Christie foremost among them.
It’s said after the procedure he would resort to eating pure cane sugar.
Carbs are needed to ensure that muscles have energy and to transport water to the muscles. It is only needed moderately otherwise.
I wouldn’t recommend an all meat diet, because you could hurt your kidneys.
You go, UM!
I think the surgery is to make them feel full very quickly. It is to help them with the small portions because it’s very difficult if they’re used to eating large amounts.
I know someone who had it done, but, sadly, bit by bit, she overate again until she was back to square one. I guess if you work hard enough at it, you can overcome the surgery. Kind of sad to waste the opportunity.
And yet, Adam and Eve ate fruit.
Albeit including the forbidden fruit!
Nevertheless, that fact at least proves the human body was not designed to consume animal products alone, but a mix.
The key is no processed foods.
The biggest change I’ve made is I now do Sprints twice a week.
Jogging and long-distance running are a waste of time, IMHO. You get more done just spending 20 minutes doing 10 sprints of 5 seconds at full-effort. You’ll look like you’ve been lifting weights. Ever compare a sprinter’s body to that of a long-distance runner?
That’s great. What happens if you live in a region that doesn’t have fruit or edible plants, especially during the winter?
And another benefit - Amanda is going to be A LOT more interested to try and make a baby....
“Carbs are needed”
Seems right.
Of course, the question is, in what quantity, when, how often, etc.
One suspects the true carbohydrate requirements are a small fraction of what average Americans consume.
And no discipline to put in work to get fit.
Lol
Sam Kinison might have had some advice on that score.
Were he still with us. RIP
Carnivore, paleo, keto etc. are not “fad diets.”
The “fad” of the last century is loading our food supply with powdery SHIT like white, processed flour and sugar.
Just because we grew up on donuts, cereal and Hawaian Punch doesn’t make it normal, and the hard foods, which are natural to our species a “fad.”
Your body can produce carbs from the food you eat.
You have a choice, you can either eat a lot of carbs, or you can eat a lot of fat. You cannot eat both, and that’s what gets people into trouble.
So yes, a plant-based diet that is low-fat can be healthy, provided you make sure you get the essential amino acids.
So, back to the article. Did the guy lose weight and get in shape mainly because of the carnivore diet, or because he started adding intense workouts?
