When ownership becomes a crime. Bill has already been introduced.
10 Minute Video..............
My uncle has a country place
No one knows about
He says it used to be a farm
Before the Motor Law
And on Sundays, I elude the eyes
And hop the turbine freight
To far outside the wire
Where my white-haired uncle waits
Jump to the ground as the turbo slows
To cross the border line
Run like the wind as excitement shivers
Up and down my spine
Down in his barn, my uncle preserved for me an old machine
For 50-odd years
To keep it as new has been
His dearest dream
I strip away the old debris that hides a shining car
A brilliant red Barchetta from a better vanished time
We’ll fire up the willing engine, responding with a roar
Tires spitting gravel, I commit my weekly crime
Wind in my hair
Shifting and drifting
Mechanical music
Adrenaline surge
Well-weathered leather, hot metal and oil
The scented country air
Sunlight on chrome, the blur of the landscape
Every nerve aware
Suddenly, ahead of me, across the mountainside
A gleaming alloy air car shoots towards me, two lanes wide
I spin around with shrieking tires to run the deadly race
Go screaming through the valley as another joins the chase
Drive like the wind, straining the limits
Of machine and man
Laughing out loud in fear and hope
I’ve got a desperate plan
At the one-lane bridge
I leave the giants stranded at the riverside
Race back to the farm
To dream with my uncle at the fireside
Yep- The left are taking over by force- and by issuing unlawful anti-constitutional laws-
They will pry my ‘55 Crown Victoria(a car I only wish I owned) from my cold dead fingers.
The EU does nothing but BAN BAN BAN
Eventually they will try to ban vintage computers for similar reason, as well as the effort to eliminate personal computers with built-in memory and CPU, favoring mere terminals.
I foresee a resurgence of shade tree mechanics.
I dont think so. It would be akin to outlawing horses in the 18th century.
That would be a line that would not be accepted. As the DOI states, from people that knew human nature well:
“...accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”
We will, at some point, not put up with all this nonsense.
Remember cash for clunkers, version 2
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Car_Allowance_Rebate_System
“cash for clunkers”, was a $3 billion U.S. federal scrappage program
And it damn near killed the used car market.................
Thanks for the reminder that our Founding Fathers were among the most brilliant and insightful men on the planet. With the grace of God, they lit the fuse of an era and nation that advanced the state of humanity beyond anything previously known, and, I believe, beyond anything that will be known.
The past few years have been tough ones. The rapidity with which “Covid”, Wokeism, and transgenderism came on the scene (with media help) was impressive, and more than a little horrifying. I’m as a result perhaps a bit more pessimistic than my nature would otherwise allow.
I will ponder on your point, which is a good one. I do like it. It happens to align with my religious beliefs. Thanks for the thoughtful reply!
Thanks for the warm response. To add to it, only 1/3 of the population supported the revolution, at least in the beginning, iirc. 1/3 were Tories. And 1/3 were indifferent. And only 3% took up arms.
History is cyclical. The pendulum swings back and forth thru it all. I firmly believe we at at the beginning of a HUGE human struggle with AI and idiots like Klaus Schwab and ilk. Lord willing we will survive and our grandchildren will know true freedom. But its going to get VERY barbaric and bloody.
five years ago they forced every single person in America to upgrade their phone. If you held out like I did, they simply sent you a new phone and turned off your old one. So not one person in America has a phone over 10 years old unless they only use it with wifi.
