owerball winner Edwin Castro was spotted in the fast lane – taking a mystery woman out for a spin in his newly purchased Porsche in LA, photos show.
Castro, who won the historic $2 billion prize, and a blonde woman were spotted Saturday at celebrity favorite Sushi Park, a swanky eatery where meals average $400 a head, The US Sun reported.
His date’s identity is not known.
The duo later jumped into the former mechanic’s green Porsche, a vintage model, one of three that he bought after winning the jackpot in 2022.

he must have forgotten a Zero.

The main reason I'd move is publicity...I'd try to keep a very low profile.
<$2 billion prize… he received $628.5 million >
Enough to pay a Letitia James NYC fine and still have some change.
True. That car will probably APPRECIATE in value.
Honey pot trap. If I was some devious Eastern Europe or Chinese entity I would entrap him and then blackmail him out of the money.
He is in for a world of hurt from people who are going to want a piece of the action.
Good Luck Edwin. Don’t become a Jack Whittacker.
Actually it’s not that hard. Buy a huge yacht that costs 200 mill just to purchase with a 20 or 30 man staff, your own 757 that you fly all over the world, multiple multi million mansions in various countries with their own staff, a taste for fine art and horses, 400,000 dollar supercars etc. and that money can disappear in a hurry, especially since the source of the money is a one time windfall, not investments, business or other income streams.
However,I guess it's distinctly possible that that rule is outdated.
Yep, guy’s got good taste in cars.
I would also attempt to keep a very low profile. I know what would happen; I'd immediately be assailed by every known charity and then some. Actually, I don't see many BMWs in suburban Baltimore, but I do see tons and tons of family oriented vans.
Under California law, and most other states, you don't have the right to anonymity. Your name will be made public......
FWIW, depending on the amount of the payout, there are only 18 states that allow you to remain anonymous, and California isn't one of them.
If I had won it, I would take $500 million of that $628.5 million and put it somewhere nice and safe where it can collect interest. Then I’d have fun with the leftover $128.5 million.

IMO: Baltimore = DC = Teslas.Lots of Teslas in suburban Boston too.
I’d be more like Sam Walton. Driving a beat up truck and wearing old jeans and shirt.
I think the smart thing to do is to invest the entire billion and use the interest to live on and to do works of charity.
Over your lifetime, you will give multiple amounts of that billion away. In 50 years, you would probably would have given away $3 billion or so.
Tell the world you’re a prostitute without saying you’re a prostitute.
After I collected the money in a lump sum payment I would move far away and change my name.
Problem solved.
