1/3rd Amaro (5+ choices depending on my mood)
Strong dashes of Angostura Bitters
Strain into a coupe holding Amarena Cherries (2)
All else is happenstance.
It is a good thing I do not like taste of whiskey, rum, gin, beer or most wines. Once in a while I will mix a shot of Amaretto with half and half for dessert, may be once in a month, it is delicious. Only other alcoholic drink I can tolerate is small amounts of good quality aged port wine.
A few drops of water will open good bourbon up nicely.

Richard Patterson says a drop or two of water is okay….it’s okay. Also been to a few distilleries in Scotland and they added a few drops right from the stream.
“Branch water”, originally sold by the distiller, was from the same stream (branch) from which the whiskey was made. Purists thought that complemented the whiskey.
