A snippet from one of Martin Armstrong's earlier World Economic Conferences.
Many people ask about the experience - here it is.
Who is Martin Armstrong?
Decades ago, Martin Armstrong paid some programmers to write that trading software for him which he calls Socrates (he never learnt how to do computer programming, has never finished any qualification).
He then used that program to trade the markets with money stolen from investors. Made spectacular losses - $700 million. Covered the losses with a $3 billion Ponzi scheme.
Was caught. On bail, he still stashed away $ millions worth of assets so he would have cash later. Spent 11 years in jail for the crime.
Most criminals think they are innocent. Martin Armstrong is no exception. After getting out of jail, to clear his name, he created one of the biggest lies in history: He got a media guy Marcus Vetter make a disinformation infomercial about him "The Forecaster". It's a movie of a conspiracy theory. A web of lies. The wet dream of a criminal. Blames someone else for his crimes.
Sells the movie on Amazon. The movie sells his services. But the movie gets bad reviews so he creates another lie saying it is banned in most countries, again blaming governments. See
The Forecaster (2014). This documentary is BANNED in the US
/ the_forecaster_2014_this_documentary_is_ba...
But it still works well as a smokescreen.
Now he sells the Socrates software as a service for $1,800 per year to his new clients, the little guy. The result? See:

I have a question about one of your forecasts. Last year you mentioned that possibly the trade of the decade would be going long the euro and short the Swiss. What's your opinion on that now?"
The rest of the video is Armstrong talking in general terms about his forecast. Armstrong called for going short on the Swiss Franc (symbol CHF) and Long on the Euro (EUR). That meant the value of the Swiss Franc would drop and the Euro would rise relative to each other.
Here are the links to Google finance chart showing the relative value of the CHF and EUR to each other, and the USD to both for comparison.
https://www.google.com/finance/quote/CHF-EUR?window=MAX&comparison=EUR-CHF%2CUSD-CHF%2CUSD-EUR
On January 15, 2015, Switzerland dropped the peg to the Euro. The value of the Swiss franc rose 30% before dropping. Since then the Swiss Franc has steadily risen and the Euro declined relative to each other. In comparison, the dollar has risen compared to the Euro and dropped to the Swiss Franc.
The exact opposite of what Armstrong predicted happened. Also interesting, looking at the Google Finance chart, is that the trends between all three currencies has been the same since the 1990s. There was nothing to indicate that shorting the Swiss and going long on the Euro made any sense for the last 20 years!
Armstrong's response was to ignore his previous forecast, and act like he forecasted what happened all along.
This is how he gets his 100% accurate track record.
(This is also assuming that the person asking the question paid the $2,000 to attend and was not a hired shill.)
PM if you want on the list.

How dare you argue with a computer?
Lol.
That assumes the computer exists as Armstrong claims.
This is not a assumption I am willing to make.
“Many people ask about the experience - here it is.” How many? 3?
Cool—a fake computer.
When the Feds raided his pad they couldn’t find it then, huh?
Lol.
I tend to favor a basket of at least five common stocks of leading companies.
From my experience, two will probably be losers, two will likely not gain or lose much, and one might be a substantial winner.
That is better than how Armstrong’s Socrates actually performs.
Please add me to your ping list
Now I am confused...
Is Socrates a real computer that is stupid?
Or a fake computer that is stupid?
"As I have shown in Socrates Forecast Array Nonsense, the turning points in the Forecast Arrays of Martin Armstrong's Socrates have only a success rate of between 20% and 25%."Given that, what Brian Griffin posted in #7 will have a better success rate than Armstrong's predictions."However, he frequently posts cherry-picked success stories on his blog site that suggest otherwise, often saying that Socrates has never been wrong. Here I expose his fraudulent technique of achieving his objective in detail while at the same time exposing a flaw in the system that turned out to be a trap for his helper in the scheme."
I am not a economist or computer expert. If anyone have better understanding of any of this, please post about it.
As discussed in this thread most economic forecasters are wrong most of the time.
That is why I make fun of this whole topic.
At this point Armstrong is getting old and frail—the guy looks like he could croak at any time—so I have trouble getting that upset about him.
The new generation of young fraudsters are a real long term problem.
Sounds like you are the one cherry picking.
I don’t know if any professional who remotely thinks any research source or any trading system has 100% accuracy - including Socrates.
It’s a tool.
If you do, you might as well shout that you’re ignorant - as you did!
This is an amusing focus for some. The "Armstrong" YouTuber is amusing in of himself. YouTube tells:

armstrongecmscam.blogspot.comBlogging since Wednesday 29 May 2019, well over four and a half years, but generating only forty-two posts throughout that period. Averaging about one a month. If those reading his stuff are as numerous as those subscribing to his YouTube channel, he is one lonely puppy."I AM the AUTHOR of this site. Effectively, because I have written 90% of the content of it and I control the content of it." But who is "he?" Doesn't put his name to the blogs, based on a cursory look.

Before the posts and comments about Armstrong, I'd not heard about him. Sounds like all the other "financial advisors" from the fly-by-night to Goldman Sachs. They make money when the public engages with them, and foretell some future.
What's with the enthusiasm to sell "future" financial events (for a fee), future temperatures and weather (for a fee and lobbying for taxes), results of coming 'this and that?"
Seems like Armstrong and some chappy going by "armstrongecmscam" are busy with "notice me." As are WEF and Al Gore and the Democrat Party and the UN and....
Since quoting scripture might be sometimes apt: "Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save." Psalm 146:3. Probably good advice.
"Hello I'm Martin Armstrong I spent 11 years in prison because I developed a computer system to do forecasting. This code has been forecasting virtually every event since the mid 1980s correctly. We have a new financial crisis that's coming and it's created basically because of the Euro the Epic Center will be here in Europe."We shall see.
FWIW Armstrong was on Greg Hunter’s show this week at usawatchdog.com and said that Socrates is projecting a Trump landslide.
“Socrates is projecting a Trump landslide.”
After this thread I am not sure if that is good or bad.
Lol.
