For birth between December 24, 1952 and November 13, 1986, the U.S. citizen parent must have been physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for 10 years prior to the person’s birth, at least five of which were after the age of 14 for the person to acquire U.S. citizenship at birth. In these cases, either the U.S. citizen parent or their alien spouse must have a genetic or gestational connection to the child in order for the U.S. parent to transmit U.S. citizenship to the child.

While those on the right believe it would, I believe doing so would only motivate the Left, and alienate the middle.

We have to ask ourselves, what issues do we really want to focus on and talk about to win the election?

We need to be on the offensive, and be aggressive, looking forward. The birth certificate issue does the opposite of all of these in the eyes of the voters.

Win the election, then we can revisit this.

I quit with this pair of liberal in-laws. I just don’t talk to them anymore they are so delusional. They had all five of their covid shots. If everything we do will "motivate the left," then does it really matter anymore?

Don't you think there is a point of diminishing returns for "motivating the left" after Dobbs, January 6th, Colorado, October 7, the House impeachment inquiry, Hunter Biden, etc.?

"Motivating the left" is becoming the same as "inflaming the Arab street" as an excuse to not do anything.

My approach with liberal family members is very tactical.

That means I pick specific very narrow topics, use only sources they trust, and gently lead them to an destination unknown to them.

I let them get the “aha” moment on their own.

The left contradicts themselves constantly. You just need to do the work to put the data on the table.

They need to put the puzzle together themselves—even if it just means putting the final piece in place.

I recently did this on one topic and the very left wing family member “got it”—he turned beet red—I really thought his head would explode like the opening scene in “Scanners”:

This will be like the JFK assassination.

We now have absolute proof Lee Harvey Oswald had an iron clad alibi—and less than one in a thousand people know that because mass media outlets have ignored it.

There are a tiny group of assassination researchers who care about that stuff.

Can’t do that. I quit talking to them.

One time I had a LONG discussion with his Jewish wife about guns. Eventually she said, yeah, well I guess you are correct.
By the next day, she was right back where we started.

Same thing with an uncle. Very smart guy, several advanced degrees in the hard sciences, but an FDR Democrat (who claimed to be a libertarian ha ha). He claimed the meaning of the 2nd amendment hinged on the placement of a comma. After weeks of emails he conceded that we did have the right to own firearms. Within weeks he was back to denying that.

So, I guess it’s no longer in my makeup to want to try to convert these people. I’m too old to tolerate their lunacy. I don’t even want to talk to them....about anything.
