It's the Friday after Christmas and I was up at stupid o'clock cuz I've got a baby who decided it'd be fun to wake us up every 2 hours.
So I really needed a laugh… and boy did the replies to this thread deliver!
We'll start with the obvious thought crimes.

Then come the lesser thought crimes.

Don't forget the actual answers though:

Then we come to the King-Solomon-level wisdom:

I'll add this one:
Civilization exists because men have women. Speaking generally about the male half of the human race, there is no point for a man to explore, build, invent, and order the world without a woman to love and children to carry his legacy. When God created the first man, He said it was "not good for the man to be alone," and created a helper. She was a co-ruler, a queen, who would cover that man's limitations with her own grace and beauty. She was the crown of the man she had come to help (Proverbs 12:4). Through that woman came the nations... and the Savior who crushed the head of the serpent.
So, yeah. 💪 "Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."
Repeal the 19th...one of the TWO ‘biggest mistakes’ in US history (the other being the establishment of the Federal Reserve). Those are both ‘scary’.
She seems nice...
“...be better if the fathers and mothers lived together raising their children in a family.”
Destroying the family is IMHO the main goal of the liberals. Then the government can step in and gain more power to “fix” all of the problems that the lack of family creates.
I’d add the 17th Amendment. The direct election of Senators has been a disaster.
L
Agreed...guess I’ll have to ‘amend’ my list.
It’s good that Archie was so balanced and mature. Edith really was a dingbat, wasn’t she? Very important that she should be told that often. So loving and kind of Archie. What a loving husband and father he was. A shining example!
Not to mention, it’s so great that in places like Afghanistan, women don’t get to vote. Those husbands have such wonderful maleness that should be emulated everywhere.
Yes, we should repeal the 19th Amendment.
That sort of bitterness and unhappiness is what the female vote in America got us, and America wasn’t Afghanistan when women couldn’t vote.
I shall not try to refute your argument. Your male ego must need to be superior.
Try to look at the history and the facts and leave ego and emotions out of it, this isn’t about us personally or as individuals.
That’s true, but you think of Archie Bunker as some kind of he-man masculine figure to be emulated, and I think he was an abusive husband. Verbally and emotionally if nothing else.
I can only imagine a few of the men in my personal little life, one who probably voted against the 19th amendment. He had 19 children, and three wives. Got up and left when he felt that itch of too much commitment. Had to go find a younger piece of meat. He didn’t take care of his wives or his children. But you likely think my forefather was someone wonderful, simply because he voted against the 19th amendment. He sure took care of the women and children in his life!
Yes, let’s think of the just the history and facts and leave ego and emotion out of it. Men are to be honored and women should be completely subservient to their desires. Heard.
Aside from your bizarre lie about me and Bunker, who I couldn’t stand as a character along with all the other members and the show itself, the rest of that post is just deep resentment and bitterness.
Your post is like drunken whining about bitter feelings and the depth of your hatred of men is shocking.
*** Aside from your bizarre lie about me and Bunker, who I couldn’t stand as a character along with all the other members and the show itself***
You are the one who applauded Archie Bunker. May I quote your post #15 in its entirety?
“Good example, he wasn’t bright or accomplished or special but in his home and intact marriage he was the male gravitas and it kept a lid on how out of balance and neurotic it could have become without his maleness.”
That really sounds like someone describing a character he couldn’t stand.
As for the hatred of men, you couldn’t be more wrong. Men are great. Great men are great. I don’t respect men who talk abusively to women, though, which is what Archie did. I sure didn’t get that out of the praise you heaped on Archie. You presented as though Archie was a great guy, taking good care of his family. He was nothing but abusive.
But yeah, let’s make sure women don’t get a vote. Let’s let the Archie Bunkers of the world make all the decisions.
“I don’t respect men who talk abusively to women, though, which is what Archie did.“

I recall my Dad saying that if he called my Mom a dingbat, he would get an 80 cast iron fry pan to the side of his head when he wasn’t looking.
I took that to heart. When I married, there was no question about talking that way to MY wife.
Good for you, and your wife, and any children you may have had.
Your dad was a wise man, and you are also. No woman should be treated like that. I don’t care who she is.
That was a description of Bunker to match your bringing him up with heavy praise.
I described him in a non-flattering way but pointed out that he was the male in that family and that was important, I neither “applauded” him nor described him as a “he-man masculine figure to be emulated”
You lie a lot, and your hatred of men is clear in your posts and you must be a woman with this constant nagging.
Do you know which sex puts the left into office?
***That was a description of Bunker to match your bringing him up with heavy praise.***
“ heavy praise”
Sorry… that was sarcasm. I guess I should’ve noted my initial comment as such.
I lie a lot? Now that’s downright funny. Even my husband laughed. He says that I’m just standing up for women who are being disregarded by men. If that’s nagging, then so be it.
Perhaps you and I have gotten off on the wrong foot. I don’t mean it to be so.
I do mean that I disagree with someone who thinks women shouldn’t have a vote, as if women all have lovely husbands who totally respect what they bring to the table, and want to totally take care of them, and their progeny. Sorry to disagree with you on that point. My husband may feel that way, and you may feel that way, but there are a lot of men who aren’t so kind.
I would give up whatever is my group’s vote if it would save America, so would many conservative women give up the women’s vote, Ann Coulter would give up the female vote.
You cannot have a conservative America with women voting and that is true throughout Western Civilization.
You think women voting was more important than America? It turned out to be a terrible mistake.
I agree. The West fall. Maybe the remnants of the West will learn from our mistakes and won't repeat them in the future.
👍🏻
You really are triggered by women.
