You are the one who applauded Archie Bunker. May I quote your post #15 in its entirety?
“Good example, he wasn’t bright or accomplished or special but in his home and intact marriage he was the male gravitas and it kept a lid on how out of balance and neurotic it could have become without his maleness.”
That really sounds like someone describing a character he couldn’t stand.
As for the hatred of men, you couldn’t be more wrong. Men are great. Great men are great. I don’t respect men who talk abusively to women, though, which is what Archie did. I sure didn’t get that out of the praise you heaped on Archie. You presented as though Archie was a great guy, taking good care of his family. He was nothing but abusive.
But yeah, let’s make sure women don’t get a vote. Let’s let the Archie Bunkers of the world make all the decisions.

I recall my Dad saying that if he called my Mom a dingbat, he would get an 80 cast iron fry pan to the side of his head when he wasn’t looking.
I took that to heart. When I married, there was no question about talking that way to MY wife.
That was a description of Bunker to match your bringing him up with heavy praise.
I described him in a non-flattering way but pointed out that he was the male in that family and that was important, I neither “applauded” him nor described him as a “he-man masculine figure to be emulated”
You lie a lot, and your hatred of men is clear in your posts and you must be a woman with this constant nagging.
