Is this where New York and LA liberals plan to flee when the SHTF?

I wouldn’t want to be in that during a tornado

You wonder if they could make this into several defacto gated communities. Certain residents to specific floors, etc.
Restrict access based on residency, provide amenities, restaraunts, gyms, dry cleaners etc.

So it’s a “Build I and They Will Come” project?
I doubt it will attract rich Californians and rich New Yorkers.

I didn’t know Oklahoma City was such a hotbed for business growth....if not, that tower will suck a lot of other businesses out of other buildings and leave those buildings, well, vacant. That is assuming the rents are competitive, however, the cost of building a structure that tall with Class A amenities for both commercial and residential tenants will require high (highest?) rents to cover cost and a return on investment. Not sure OK City has those economics....my guess it won’t be built any time soon, especially with current national economic headaches as well (i.e., Bidenomics)....my two cents.

It also makes a great and easy target for terrorist-highjacked aircraft, or drones.

Is this where New York and LA liberals plan to flee when the SHTF? I thought Tulsa was where all the lefties migrated to be Oklahomos?

Um, I think it will be much higher than twice…

I have my doubts it’ll be built.

There is a certain economic justification for buildings of this height in a place like New York or Shanghai, where there is a lot of demand to congregate in a limited land area. They are still unwise, but at least there is an outside chance they can become economically viable.
In Oklahoma City, with nearly endless amounts of vacant land to build nice three story corporate campuses that can house thousands of workers more comfortably? It isn't going to work. It's a vanity project for the architect - who should try it in China or Malaysia or Dubai like everybody else.

I have been in the little bank of oklahoma building in the petroleum club a storm and watched the vertical beams move half the visual width of adjacent buildings. I have also been there when the streets were littered with glass from a blow or tornado that did not touch down.
Not only should this be a dumb idea from a business perspective but also from an engineering one.

Forget the 15-minute city. American proles may spend their final days in 15-minute apartment buildings.
