Trump did this.
Agree. And if they are so hell-bent on following tribe customs, maybe they should have just packed him off to some TeePee somewhere and have a tribal medicine man shake some bones, burn some sage and blow spit on him as the treatment.
This was so wrong.
And no I don't have long hair now, but for full disclosure, I have had hair down to my shoulders a few times in my life, once through the Scamdemic because Great Clips required a mask.
How often do they cut a woman’s hair that short?
If there was a real medical necessity there should be a 50-50 split between the sexes.
Lets take a look at the last 100 haircuts in the facility.
I have not cut my hair since 1993—since I became a free man that only worked for myself—i understand the power of hair and I would sue them for everything
this is just another embellished hurt....like the hair of all the rest of is isn't important to us, but no, their hair is just so much important....
sick to death of it all...
Old Lakota Saying: “Indian use White Man bed, White Man cut Indian Hair”
Wash/comb/braid. The washing/combing won’t need to be done as often as just letting the hair stay loose. The poor man can’t even comb his own hair, maybe because there was too much of it.
the hair has his power
Then why did the man suffer a debilitating stroke? Looks like the hair did NOT have his power.
regarding the boarding school
With some minorities, no good deed goes unpunished. If you teach them to read and write, they have no reason to remain unemployed, sucking off the welfare tit, spending their time growing their hair, or maybe growing their fingernails.
The family should be thankful this man is being cared for. But, no, they see this as a George FLoyd moment. A $27 million payout.
Hair

She asked him why
Why I’m a hairy guy
I’m hairy noon and nighty-night night
My hair is a fright
I’m hairy high and low
But don’t ask me why
‘Cause he don’t know
It’s not for lack of bread
Like the Grateful Dead, darlin’
Gimme a head with hair
Long, beautiful hair
Shining, gleaming
Streaming, flaxen, waxen
Give me down to there (hair)
Shoulder length or longer (hair)
Here, baby, there, mama
Everywhere, daddy, daddy
Hair (hair, hair, hair, hair, hair)
Grow it, show it
Long as I can grow it
My hair
I let it fly in the breeze
And get caught in the trees
Give a home for the fleas in my hair
A home for the fleas
A hive for the buzzin’ bees
A nest for birds
There ain’t no words for the beauty and the splendor
The wonder of my
Hair (hair, hair, hair, hair, hair)
Grow it, show it
Long as I can grow it
My hair
I want it long, straight, curly, fuzzy
Snaggy, shaggy, ratsy, matsy
Oily, greasy, fleecy
Shining, gleaming, streaming
Flaxen, waxen
Knotted, polka-dotted
Twisted, beaded, braided
Powdered, flowered, and confettied
Bangled, tangled, spangled, and spaghettied
Oh, say, can you see
My eyes if you can
Then my hair’s too short
Down to here
Down to there
Down to there?
Down to where?
It stops by itself
Don’t never have to cut it
‘Cause it stops by itself
Oh, give me a head with hair
Long, beautiful hair
Shining, gleaming, streaming
Flaxen, waxen
Now won’t you gimme it down to there? (hair)
Shoulder length or longer (hair)
Here, baby, there, mama
Everywhere, daddy, daddy
Hair (hair, hair, hair, hair, hair)
Grow it, show it
Long as I can grow it
My hair (hair, hair, hair, hair, hair)
Grow it, show it
Long as I can grow it
My hair (hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair)
Hair
Sounds like the hair was filled with vermin. If it was uncombable and untreatable it would be cut.
I’d like to see an Ancestry DNA test on this guy. Looks like a paleface to me.
the family is making this an issue? did the facility take good care of him? eyeroll.
A man cannot care for himself, because of a stroke.
If his relatives demand special care, at minimum they have to demand it in advance.
Looks like someone is playing the lawsuit lottery.
I went to CU/Boulder and got a haircut yesterday. Had to pay for it.
***for whom hair is sacred from the moment of birth.***
And that is why scalping was so popular in the past. They used to take several strands, braid it, decorate it with shells as a challenge to their enemies to “COME AND TAKE IT!” The scalplock.
And scalping was popular long before the White Man ever arrived on these shores.

Not that it matters, but most Indians have very little body hair, and some of them have little or no facial hair. My SIL is half Loyal Shawnee. She has no hair on her legs or arms (or face). Her husband is Kiowa. He has no facial, arm, chest, or leg hair. My husband is Seneca, with some Scot blood; while he does have facial hair, he has no arm, leg or chest hair. His adoptive father was full blood Loyal Shawnee; he had no facial, chest, leg, or arm hair. A lot of the Western tribes are mixed with Mexican blood, which can make them rather hairy.
My BIL is a full-blooded, registered member of the tribe [redacted] Indian.
He keeps his hair cut short. His sons do as well.
I think we're being bullshitted.
“In any part of the hemisphere here, indigenous people’s hair is sacred to them.”
Don’t know how to handle this quandary.
How about this...
Some people believe their penises are power totems. Cut hair grows back. Penises don’t.
