Can we agree that propaganda is not just, like beauty, in the eyes of the beholder?
Can we agree that propaganda is defined objectively as: lies or distortions weaponized for political purposes?
If so, the allegations of "propaganda" should be accompanied by lists of examples, explaining what, exactly, are the lies or distortions they contain.
I've seen nothing that looks like "propaganda" posted in defense of Ukraine, while there've been endless unwarranted vicious personal attacks posted by our anti-Ukers, clearly qualifying as propaganda.
If you are going to claim "propaganda", then the burden of proof is on you to demonstrate exactly which words you mean and why they are false or distorted.
I think you yourself confirmed basic public data available on Davydov here.
Nothing I've seen from UMCRevMom@aol.com constitutes a "lie through your teeth", and therefore bimbo-e, you might take this advice:
I agree there are some reasons for optimism, but I don't think it's a done-deal, could easily fall apart and will likely get completed at the last possible minute, with the final configuration unknowable until it happens.
My estimation is that our radical Democrats care more about US border insecurity than they do about Ukraine, and so may sacrifice Ukraine in order to keep US borders open.
Hopefully I'm wrong.
Anyway, that's how US politics typically works.
<> You answered no question. You asserted that another Freeper condoned Russian war crimes. Then, when asked, cited no statement that he did.
"There is no need for proof" is Kafka-esque and the stuff of star chambers and Democrats.
Codswallop.
The definition of propaganda points to BOTH sides as represented in threads like these, with one side trying to line up the "not my war" views as "pro-P," which is itself propaganda.
REAL definitions of propaganda....
2Propaganda. Russian propaganda. Ukrainian propaganda. British propaganda. And so forth....
: the spreading of ideas, information, or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person
3
: ideas, facts, or allegations spread deliberately to further one's cause or to damage an opposing cause"information, ideas, opinions, or images, often only giving one part of an argument, that are broadcast, published, or in some other way spread with the intention of influencing people's opinions:" Cambridge Dictionary - propaganda
"In the 20th century, the English term propaganda was often associated with a manipulative approach, but historically, propaganda has been a neutral descriptive term of any material that promotes certain opinions or ideologies.[1][3] Equivalent non-English terms have also largely retained the original neutral connotation."
As was written: "The source for my opinions is me, BroJoeK."
Last I'd read, Mr. Robinson hoped for less propaganda. To whom was that remark addressed? That same Mr. Robinson observed that this war is "controversial." And so it is.
The proof is that Davydov is not a Journalist.
He is a Draft Dodger living large in Switzerland.
Fox News is a credible source.
CNN can be credible at times.
But a Draft Dodger posting updates on a YouTube Channel?
Not a credible source.
Thus Propaganda.
According to you zeepers, Putin’s been dead so many times, you should have gone through a couple of cases by now.
Words like "maniacal" and "shill" certainly apply to our anti-Ukers posting absurd, if not obscene, vicious personal attacks, not just on Ukrainians, but on other Freepers.
Normally, such vicious personal attacks are forbidden by FR's rules, but in the case of Ukraine, you guys get a free pass to behave atrociously.
Mocker DiPippo to UMCRevMom@aol.com: "...you maniacally shill for one of Europe's most corrupt regimes, one rife with neo-Nazis in its military, organ harvesting gangs, child trafficking gangs and massive corruption throughout all levels of its society?"
No doubt Ukraine did inherit a culture of corruption from the Old Soviet Union, and over the past 30 years has slowly risen above it.
This site lists countries which legally allow organ harvesting.
Listed countries include the US, UK and Russia, but not Ukraine.
"Ukrainian authorities have verified the identities of[14] over 19,000 abducted children [by Russians],[15] compiling and actively updating the data as part of an online platform: "Children of War".
Russian authorities have claimed that over 700,000 Ukrainian children have been "evacuated" by mid-2023,[4] and Ukraine's ombudsman on children's rights believes that the actual number of abducted children may be in the hundreds of thousands.[14]"
As a young actor, Zelenskyy played many roles, but the one which eventually won hearts & minds of his fellow Ukrainians was in the TV series, "Servant of the People" where he played the role of Ukraine's president.
The series has been critically acclaimed and shown in many other countries, including the pilot episode in Russia in 2019.
Mocker DiPippo to UMCRevMom@aol.com: "... who personally offered an ambassadorship to Marina Abramovic, a satanist?"
Marina Abramović, age 77, is famous for being at least exotic, if not outright bizarre:
She added: “I have also been invited to be a board member of the Babyn Yar organization to continue to protect the memorial.”
The Holocaust memorial center to Jews murdered by Nazis in Ukraine was damaged by Russian missile attacks in March last year."
I think if they were aware of the lengths to which unscrupulous shysters like Mocker will go to besmirch reputations of people he disagrees with, they would be more sympathetic to UMCRevMom@aol.com than ever before.
Mocker DiPippo to UMCRevMom@aol.com: "In the interest of fair disclosure, you should do the right thing and inform them about the nefarious things you've been doing here on FR (and God knows where else).
Then they can make an informed choice regarding whether or not they still want your input or help in matters of Christianity.
It's the right thing to do, so just do it."
I don't think Mocker has any concept of the actual difference between right and wrong -- to Mocker, "right" is whatever insane anger and words burst out of his brain, while "wrong" is anyone who dares to stand against him.
When Mocker lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
So, the right thing for Mocker to do is seek help, counseling, spiritual advice & moral training.
I could recommend someone, but I think she's busy now with more important people.
What a bloody stupid comment after a lengthy tome, especially given BroJoeK's earlier quote: "The source for my opinions is me, BroJoeK."
Theologically, the "father of lies" is Satan in a variety of denominations. The only folks using this kind of verbiage are those Muslims who decry the US and Israel as "shaitan," great and small. And you, who use it incorrectly.
But then again, "The source for my opinions is me, BroJoeK."
"Ukrainian veterans of the Azov Battalion, formed by a white supremacist and banned from receiving U.S. aid, attend a rally in Kyiv on March 14, 2020."Ukraine's Nazi problem is real, even if Putin's 'denazification' claim isn't
Actually, I think his "hero" is putting him up to it! Bwahahaha!
Spray that doll with some PAM.
It’s gotta be greasy-looking like Zelensky.
That was simply epic.
Regarding the graphic, some time back I enlarged it and tracked down quite a number of the original mainstream media articles references in the collage. They are still online. Pretending this is some kind of P-propaganda is ludicrous. But in the Z-savior world, anything which doesn't agree with their view is this, because they cannot conceive of a third and more stances.
What is demonstrably true is to visit the Ukrainian site, Myrotvorets.
And another great night of Ukraine Propaganda brought to you by Mommy
Dearest and Denys Davydov, who is neither a Journalist or a credible news
operation.Davydov creates the Propaganda from his comfortable chalet in Switzerland
and Mommy Dearest spreads it around like fake butter.
