Sounds like I’ve had A Wonderful Life when it comes to watching movies. :-P
And here I am thinking It's a Wonderful Life is a bad movie.
How? How is any movie focusing on a depressed suicidal man considered a Christmas classic?
Yeesh.

I gathered they’d already fallen into the sack.Fine, but unlike Oppenheimer, it was unnecessary to show them doing the deed.

It didn’t get copyrighted properly. So it was public domain. So all the local TV networks could show it every year without having to pay anybody. Instant classic.

There was a video store in Eugene. OR that loaned out Bo Derek’s films for free, provided you didn’t complain about them when you brought them back. The worst movie I ever saw in a theater was Bo Derek's "Tarzan and Jane." The Tarzan in this movie couldn't talk, so it was basically a monologue by Bo Derek. About 20 minutes into the movie, the audience started heckling it, then started throwing things at the screen, and then walked out, including us.

So, abuse me if you must, but there are times that I just love to watch something nonsensical and mindless .. it helps alleviate current affairs headaches ...
Nonsensical and mindless. Yep. That describes Barbara Streissand movies all right.

How is any movie focusing on a depressed suicidal man considered a Christmas classic? If he actually went through with his plan to kill himself, you'd have a point. :-)
The beauty of the movie is ultimately in the SALVATION of the main character. It doesn't get any better than that in a classic Christmas movie, does it? In that sense it's no different than Charles Dickens' novel A Christmas Carol that has spawned so many movie versions.

I liked that movie. Can’t remember which one of the short films I like the most, but I didn’t hate any of them.

Like so many sites, IMDB has become a gigantic jumbled mess covered in ads. It used to be a clean, simple design that was easy to use. No longer.

Well, they did include “The Day After Tomorrow”, so someone set aside their idiocy (momentarily, at least).
