Reno89519 post #9: "Ukraine is OVER.
Surrender or cease-fire.
Time to move on."

delta7: "Surrender, large groups are now surrendering…..this is just one geo located video of many."

First, Ukraine will be "over" when Russia removes it's military forces from all recognized Ukrainian territories, including Crimea, and not one day before.

Reasonable people hope that a master-negotiator like Pres. Trump will find a fair solution, but absent that possibility, Ukrainians will continue to fight for what is rightfully theirs.

-----------------------------

Second, delta7, your Russian propaganda video is fake.

There are no reliable numbers on surrenders of either Russians or Ukrainians.

A good guess would be there were a lot of surrenders on both sides during the early months of the war, when the lines of battle moved frequently.

Today, probably not so many, though each side publishes reports of broken morale among their enemies.
No way to say for sure which reports, if any, are true.

Reno89519: "I think it is past time that all of you Ukraine-Russia warmongers, give it up."

I think it's past time that all of you pro-Russian mouthpieces, give it up.

Reno89519: "There’s a real war that has US national security impact in Israel where Americans are being kills, abused, and held hostage. "

There is yet another Russian supported invasion of yet another US ally, Israel, intended primarily to distract Americans from support of Ukraine and towards Israel.

These are the bad things that happen whenever the USA displays groveling weakness on the world stage.
Our weakness provokes aggressions by bad actors like Russia, Iran, China and others.

The death and destruction of our friends worldwide will not end until America restores it's position of peace through strength, as Pres. Reagan told us.

Reno89519: "Why don’t you all give that some focus, show some loyaty to the US for a moment at least."

It's pure insanity to suggest there is any real distinction between Russia's invasions of Ukraine & elsewhere, versus Iran's support for the latest attacks on Israel.

They all come from the "Axis of Evil" and result inevitably when we look weak and stupid in the world.

That's what has to end before peace can be restored.

cowboyusa: "This is a ww 1 style war of useless Deat. Trump: “ Icwant to stop the killing and dying."

Naw, it's Ukraine's War of Independence.
Our War of Independence lasted at least six years (1775 to 1781) and cost the lives of around 70,000 Americans of a population only about 3 million.
In today's equivalent terms, that would be over 7 million Americans killed to win our independence.

Wars are always hell on earth, sufferings of unimaginable horror.
And yet, who today would say the USA should have remained a British colony?

Another key comparison is that we didn't fight alone -- we received major naval and army support from France, Spain, Holland and others.
France especially had "boots on the ground" here and suffered thousands of casualties as a result.

Trivialize it all you wish, but the Russian Evil Empire has overstepped the boundaries of acceptable behavior and now must be defeated to be stopped.

Widget Jr: "It is two wars now.
One countering Russian imperial ambitions in Europe.
The other countering Islamist fundamentalism in the Middle ease."

Naw... it's the same war, the Axis of Evil attacking the American World Order on two different axes -- in Ukraine and now Israel.
Israel is a diversion to take our eyes off the ball in Ukraine.

You can depend on Xi-snake's CCP to strike Taiwan at our moment of maximum disarray and inattention caused by Russia's invasion of Ukraine and Iran's support for attacks on Israel.

These the bad things that happen whenever the USA looks weak and stupid on the world stage.

They will only end when we restore peace through strength and wise leadership.

If you think Russia/Putin attack on Ukraine is of no importance to US, then you are seriously lacking in imagination. Failure of us to support Ukraine will immediately signal to China they can move forward on Taiwan attack and against the countries around the South China Sea. Anyone remember what happened to us on Dec. 7, 1941, because people didn’t think what was happening in the far east concerned us. In your comment, like many, you raise the old we can’t walk and chew gum trope.

The Pro- Putin invasion squad are just attempting to prevent their current false agitprop from being revealed.

The term ‘AGITPROP’ of using political slogans and half-truths were specific to the Marxism practiced by communists in the Soviet Union. Originally, the label was a shortened form of the ‘Agitation and Propaganda Section of the Central Committee Secretariat of the Communist Party’ in the Soviet Union.

Today, AGITPROP is just the modernization of this same political strategy. Often, this AGITPROP version may be found within public forums and chat-rooms.

The “Pro-Putin Russian invasion” distractors and detractors are just applying ‘agitation and propaganda’ techniques to ‘troll’ others in an attempt to influence public opinion.
“Pro-Putin Russian invasion” lurkers are about to vomit more of their AGITPROP!

You are full of BS. Ukraine is not in our national security interest, never was, and likely won’t be. Sucking up our money and resources to fight a proxy war with Russia, the Ukraine and Russia Civil War, is a waste. The Palestinian Hamas pogrom in the Middle East is our concern. Americans are dying, being raped, and taken hostage at the hands of these barbarian Islamists. It is my opinion that we should declare war on Hamas and kill every last one of them. As for Taiwan, the power of our commerce will hold China at bay, plus our nearby, Navy. The only requirement we need is the willingness to cut off all commerce from China, that will quickly shut them down. Make clear they risk that and they will not attack.

“I think many of us will get our Israel updates from people who don’t support Nazis. LOL.”

You do know, don’t you, that if you are a Trump supporter, or a Republican, or a conservative, or a gun owner, to half the people in America YOU are a Nazi?

The label has become meaningless.

Your Presiedent Biden released $6 billion in money that belonged to Iran in exchange for rleasing US captives as had been negotiated. Perhaps a stupid agreement, but can you imagine how hard it would be to ever negotiate anything important if our presidents did not follow through on what we negotiate?

If Trump is elected president again, he will probably have to decide on whether to release something like $100 billion of Russian assets we currently control. So I guess if he negotiates something with Russia you will accuse him of doing something ugly to some ally for something unrelated to the original negotiation the next time Russia does something or other nasty. This even though Russia doing other nasty stuff under the current leadership is totally predictable.

I think I can remember a certain guy named Zelensky clapping with great excitement and glee for a Nazi of the SS butcher squad at the Canadian Parliament. I imagine that fella whacked a lot of Jews.

Sorry toots, that has a lot of meaning and tells people what they need to know.

“Moreover, Ukrainian fighters from this region report that Russians use a lot of prisoners from Storm-Z detachments in this region, which is why some analysts concluded that the Russian command did not want to adjust the schedule of assaults after the loss of de-mining equipment and ordered to attack without sufficient support and preparation.”

Can you clarify what these prisoners were. Were they Russias prisoners like the ones recruited for Wagner and now being recruited by the regular Russian army, or were they recruited from the captive Donbas and other populations, or were they Ukraine soldier captives, or some other type of group?

It has been concluded that the reason this attack was not discovered during the planning stages is because electronic communications like emails were not used in the planning. Thus trips to Moscow by Hamas officials makes perfect sense for face to face planning and agreements without a cyber footprint. From here on, any time some group visits Moscow we should consider what kind of mischief they are concocting in person and avoiding mentioning in cyber space. Got that CIA??

I wonder if any member(s) of the group of 8 have received money from China or Russia. Bad time to lack leadership in Congress when facing 2 existential crises both of serious concern to our honor and our future. Not a good time to fail to give them our full support.

Where did you get that data? Most studies I’ve seen have the total colonial deaths at between 25,000 and 26,000, of which only about 8500 - 9500 were killed in battle; the rest died in camp (ca. 10,000, primarily from disease) or in captivity (ca. 8500, from deprivation and disease). Of course, these are estimates, given the scarcity of detailed records. Those studies also suggested that the civilian death numbers would probably have been in line with the civilian death numbers without the war.

“Another key comparison is that we didn’t fight alone — we received major naval and army support from France, Spain, Holland and others. France especially had ‘boots on the ground’ here and suffered thousands of casualties as a result.”

Absolutely correct. It’s disappointing that so many Americans think the colonials fought the British by themselves; we owe a great debt of gratitude to France for its assistance and support (of course, the “French connection” had less to do with any benevolence toward the colonials, and more to France’s desire to damage Britain).

Sorry, kid; but the employment of the term “Nazi,” just as the term “racist,” has been so widely and indiscriminately applied as to render both terms meaningless.

I am not going to argue about it because it was witnessed by all. They celebrate Stephan Bandera Day for a reason and it isn’t because they love Jews.

So denials and blowing it off is weak.

That is all I have to say about it.

I haven’t “denied” squat. I merely pointed out that broadbrushing the slander “Nazi” has rendered the term meaningless.
