An Arizona man was shocked to find out that his wife was allegedly putting bleach into his daily coffee after he set up secret cameras to observe her behavior.
The unidentified U.S. airman from Tucson began to wonder why his coffee was tasting weird, so he tested the water in the coffee pot with pool chemical testing strips. It tested positive for chlorine, despite the tap water testing negative.
That's when he decided to investigate further.
He initially set up one camera that caught her putting something into the coffee maker, but when he went to police, they said it was unclear what she was putting into the water reservoir.
He then set up three cameras — one in the laundry room, another in the kitchen, and a third above the coffee maker — while he was stationed in Germany. The videos captured his wife, 39-year-old Melody Felicano Johnson, allegedly pouring bleach into the coffee maker.
The two were going through a divorce but were still living together with their child, according to court documents.
“He stated she knew that he would prep his coffee pot to be ready at night so that in the morning he just needed to turn it on to make his coffee,” read a criminal complaint. “At that time he stopped drinking the coffee but continued to pretend to drink it as he did not want to make a report of this while in Germany.”
The husband told police that he suspected she was trying to kill him in order to collect his death benefits.
Johnson was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree homicide, attempted aggravated assault, and adding poison to food or drink. She was booked at the Pima County Adult Detention Center and held on a bond of $250,000.
The woman claimed to investigators that her husband had sexually assaulted her during the time they lived overseas.
Here's a local news report about the shocking incident:

“The woman claimed to investigators that her husband had sexually assaulted her during the time they lived overseas.”
Women know they have the old “sexual assault “ charge to fall back on. Something tells me it ain’t gonna work this time.
He should have left the witch in a German prison and brought his kid home.
Arizona Man!
There's a word that doesn't belong in this sentence.
“Forensic Files”…where do you think she got the idea?
Bleach is not the best choice of poisons.
True. She should have used rat poison.............🤦♀️
They used auto coolant mostly
Lady Astor: If you were my husband, I’d poison your tea.
PM Churchill: Madame, if you were my wife, I’d drink it.

If they divorce is there still an alimony payment involved?
And it would have worked too, if not for those meddling kids.
You may not be wrong
A couple of them did
I was concerned about the cat drinking bleach once and the veterinarian told us it might make The cat sick but would not kill it.
On the bright side, the coffee maker is really, really sanitary now.
Exactly.
