Arizona governor mysteriously steps down for one day

On Wednesday evening, the Arizona treasurer announced that she will be serving as acting governor beginning later this evening until mid-morning tomorrow amid a mysterious disappearance of Gov. Katie Hobbs.

In a press release on X, formerly known as Twitter, Arizona Treasurer Kimberly Yee announced her brief tenure as acting governor, saying that she is "pleased to step in this role."

The Republican state treasurer noted that during her less than 24-hours as acting governor she would refrain from confirming the thirteen agencies that still hold vacancies and wait for the Democratic governor to fill them upon her return.

"While I am pleased to step in this role, I will refrain from naming directors to the 13 agencies that currently have vacancies and will not call the Arizona Legislature into session to confirm them," Yee said in an X post. "That being said, I do hope when the Governor returns to Arizona, she will promptly name qualified directors to these important state agencies."

"I expect to see a quick resolution on this matter, so we can get the work done for Arizona taxpayers," Yee added.

You did reply to my ideas and said none of it will work, but offered nothing different other than ELECTIONS are STOLEN.

I take that as you don’t have any ideas of what to do.

She’s probably going to get a “I’m a female governor” tattoo on the inside of her left thigh.

I do hope when the Governor returns to Arizona

She left the state and needs to step down for the day? DeSantis never does this. Surgery in NYC or Boston or another state I presume? Why would she not be transparent about a health issue?

There is a mathematical way to win without those states, it’s not impossible but very difficult.

In 2020 Trump won 232 electoral college votes.

If he were to win the exact same states and districts, he would win 236 electoral college votes, due to census results that allowed states like Florida to gain 2 extra votes.

In 2024, if Trump were to win Georgia and Arizona, he would win 263 electoral college votes.

Georgia has 16 votes and Arizona 11.

Two states currently have Republican Governors, Nevada and Virginia.

Nevada has 6 electoral college votes, Virginia has 13

Win Georgia, Arizona and Virginia and Trump wins.

Win Nevada and one extra congressional district in Maine or Nebraska which awards electoral college votes by congressional districts versus winner take all, then Trump wins.

It’s very doable, but difficult when Republicans appear to be experts in shooting themselves in the foot.

What has the MAGA crowd done since 2020, trashed everyone in Georgia and in Arizona and the mere mention of Glenn Youngkin running for POTUS has started the trashing of him.

Kari Lake went so far as to tell McCain voters to “Get the Hell out of her rallies”, not a smart move IMO.

If that damaged is not repaired by election day 2024, then forget about winning.

Cheat, of course. You said we should copy what those “winners” do. They cheat.

Then again, I see you fled to Florida, where a lot of that voter fraud was cleaned up. If the state was managed by your corrupt AZ Demonrat-McQueeg RINO Machine, that Black Communist Faggot would be your Governor.

Because they were there to sabotage her and her campaign, resulting in the theft of Gov-elect Lake's victory and awarding of it to the losing candidate, Hobbs.

You left out that it’s not cheating to ballot harvest, it’s not cheating to use mail in ballots, it’s not cheating to drop ballots into unguarded drop boxes, in many states, Arizona appears to be one of them.

As bad as it appears, when what was once illegal, is now legal it’s not cheating.

It used to be illegal to smoke marijuana everywhere, now it’s not.

It used to be illegal to consume alcohol in this country it’s not anymore.

But our state isn’t managed that way, but I appreciate the intelligent response, it’s very telling.

Thank you & that explains it. No doubt the rats factored that in when they were so brazen in the theft. Lake would need the McCain’s to get behind any recall effort and that ain’t happening.

“The problem with your point of view is that you along with many other MAGA supporters refuse to accept any other possible course of action to stop losing elections that should be won.”

Let’s go down memory lane to the election of George W. Bush with a GOP House and Senate. What did the American people get?

1). Open borders, relaxed immigration, and a pathway to citizenship were Bush policies. Congress passed a bill for a physical wall on the southern border. Bush wasted billions on a “virtual” wall that was a boondoggle to Boeing and was promptly shut down by Obama.
2). End of balanced budgets and doubling of the accumulated national debt.
3). War in Iraq and Afghanistan with no end game.
4). American job killing free trade agreements that gutted US manufacturing.
5). Passage of the Patriot Act, the greatest assault on the liberty of US citizens in the nation’s history. Effectively weaponized the CIA, FBI, and other federal government law enforcement agencies against the American people. Secret FISA courts.
6) John Roberts as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Attempted to put Harriet Miers on the Supreme Court.
7). A 25 year extension of the voting rights act.
8). The era of earmarks in Congress. A $200 million bridge to nowhere in Alaska for example.
9). A pedophile, Dennis Hastert, as Speaker of the House.
10). Medicare prescription drug plan that enriched Big Pharma.
11). 2008 sub prime mortgage economic crisis and deep recession.

This is what voting for an “electable” non-MAGA Republican President and Congress gets you.

I do believe you are correct on that, it is obvious that there is a whole lot of so-called Republicans in Az. as well as in the US House that would vote for a democrat before they would vote for a fellow republican that they don’t like.

These scum need to be run out of the party, too bad we don’t have leadership that would put these traitors where they belong.

Even if so inclined, the line of succession is set by law and Carrie’s the full powers of the governor. It’s not just an honorary thing. Thus you see the treasurer essentially promising not do exercise her powers while acting gov. During his first two terms, don’t remember which, Jerry Brown had to stop leaving the state because his GOP Lieutenant Governor kept doing… well… gubernatorial stuff.. when brown was out of state.

Interesting to note that the office of Lieutenant Governor has just been created and will be filled in 2026. The line of succession is Secretary of State (yes, the cartel
Guy), atty general, treasurer. By what right are the first three in line being bypassed?

You’re right, I ask you where I advocated for another Bush style candidate to win anything, I have not done anything close to that.

Advocating for the Republicans to change tactics and get smart, which both seem to be in short supply.

It makes no sense to me to keep repeating the same actions that have never been successful.

MAGA candidates can and should win elections, it’s appealing to the average working-class person.

The problem with the MAGA movement right now is how negative and angry it’s become and not open to anything other than strict adherence to a doctrine.

Is DeSantis a perfect MAGA candidate probably not, but he’s not worse than Gavin Newsom as Kari Lake has declared.

Glenn Youngkin is not a perfect MAGA candiate, but he won in Virginia which is tough, he did it primarily by adopting tough stances on public education and the elimination of the Woke Agenda in schools.

After 2024, regardless of what happens, Trump will be over as a politician, if he wins he can’t serve but 4 years, if he loses, it would be crazy to think he could run again in 2028.

We need people to grow the MAGA movement and move it forward into the future, it can’t be 100% centered on Trump because he will be gone soon.

None of this means accepting RINOs or candidates from the Bush wing the party, it does mean we can’t keep nominating fringe candiates like Herschel Walker and Dr.Oz.

I give you an example of what I’m talking about.

Montana is a usually a Red State, they have a Democratic Senator in John Tester.

He’s up for reelection in 2024, IMO, he should be toast and planning his post senatorial career.

Matt Rosendale is a very conservative congressman from Montana, he’s acting like he’s going to challenge Tester, the only problem is Rosendale ran against Tester in 2018 and lost, do we risk nominating him again or is there another candidate who can win, I’m not sure.

The same situation exists in Ohio and West Virginia, two red states with Democratic Senators who should be defeated.

It’ absolutely critical to nominate someone who can win, not somebody like Herschel Walker or Dr.Oz.

For those who are unfamiliar with AZ succession law, there is no lieutenant governor’s position, although one will be created in 2027.

The secretary of state, then attorney general and followed by the treasurer, is the line of succession.

The question is: why are both out of state at the same time?

Especially when you told the McCain voters to “Get the hell out” of your rallies, makes it kind of hard now to ask for a signature to recall Katie Hobbs.

Lake may have said something like that in one of the rallies. My guess is it has been exaggerated quite a bit. I share her contempt for the McTraitor people but she should not have said it. They were never going to support her but antagonizing them was not wise.

Take a guess who Srmanuel is a supporter of. He’s angrier at Gov-elect Lake for telling McQueeg Demonrat saboteurs to get lost than at the actual voter fraud that installed crooked Hobbs.
