Maybe people spent it already on ammo, poisons and foreign hand grenades. Staples.

The spokesperson added that "less than 0.5 percent of Social Security payments are overpayments." Okay, 0.4%. That's 1 in 250. That is truly dismal, and the ones who will be punished are the individuals who filed for SS based on information they had at the time. Those who screwed up within SS will *never* be punished.
Tired of losing yet?! For myself, I'm long past that point.

Americans who are living on a fixed income, with inflation at ~9% and crazy food, medical and utility prices. They get attacked without mercy. They paid into the system their entire life, now they are vulnerable
But illegals, who never paid a dime. Who hate everything this country stands for, who have no intention of ever contesting? They will never be considered as being given enough
What happened?

Looks the FJB administration is looking for money to make up for all the student loan handouts they gave to the deadbeats. The White House pedophile has to make up a lot of money to start paying his buddies’ their “reparations” voter bribe money.

Well it was the government that determined how much they were entitled to receive in the first place. Since when does a citizen have a right to challenge them.
The government is suppose to have the financial expertise to make these determinations. When they fail, unless they can prove fraud by the receiving party they should loose.
Incompetency and rejecting meritocracy have expensive consequences. The fed-gov CRT accountants can suck on it.

You cannot talk to anyone on the phone, have to wait hours at the office, and I doubt that there is a form to fill out that lets you repay the overage. You couldn’t give the money back if you tried.
It was the governments mistake, let them fire someone and eat the loss.

The only overpaid? Has that ever happened before? Maybe it’s because they used for illegals. OOPS

There’s no explanation in this article as to who was affected and why. It’s all just nebulous...
