Yup. Our 2nd pup was an Andrew survivor. She got separated (?) or was a stray. Some guys got her but couldn’t keep her at their apartment and took her to the Brevard shelter. She and Mrs rktman connected instantly. BOOM new home. She was a good girl.

So if and when it appears like it will follow that trajectory, there will be something to be concerned about.
Depending on actual fronts as it approaches, it could just as likely pass through the islands and go north into la la land (or ocean).
Too early to get excited, but the press needs it’s clicks.
I’m happy to do it here, but I’ve been passing on the Lee stories online.

Yikes. I was stationed at Homestead in the ‘80s. I
remember several false alarms. I’ve seen a lot of photos of what Andrew did there. Unreal.

Glen Burnie? I used to live in Columbia. Left to move back to Oregon in 2012.

However…. Per NOAA, Andrew became a tropical storm on August 17, 1992 and moved uneventfully west-northwestward across the Atlantic. Significant changes occurred in the large-scale environment of Andrew on August 21st as a deep high pressure center developed over the southeast U.S. and extended eastward to north of the tropical storm. In response to the much more favorable environment, Tropical Storm Andrew strengthened rapidly and turned westward

Please, please let it take a northwest turn through D.C. and send the corruptocrats straight to hell. They’re going there anyway, let’s just expedite the process.

They are naming hurricanes after Confederate generals now? How do they get away with that?
To: Red Badger
I never trust these models beyond 24-48 hours out.................When I was getting my degree, I checked the accuracy of the models to predict the track of storms coming up the coast.
There is none. Beyond 48 hours out it’s a total crap shoot where they ended up.

I can see that. We’re that way with winter Blizzards up here - they can blow the roof off your house, or crush you under the weight of the snow while you sleep. ;)
1976’s Ice Storm was one for the books for our state. I also remember a New Year’s Eve when we got 18” of snow overnight. That was another one for the books. Must’ve been about 1978-ish?
